Personally, I think the "1 Exotic Armor and Weapon at a Time" limit is stupid. We work hard/get lucky enough/grind to get these things, so we should be allowed to wear/use all we can.
The limit makes even less sense when you take into account the Exotic armors that match each other thematically/appearance-wise. Why make sets if we can't wear them in their entirety? And we can't use multiple weapons at the same time, so what purpose does the limit serve in regards to weapons?
Keep the limit for PvP. But remove it for PvE. We're ALWAYS scaled to our enemies, so having multiple Exotics equipped won't really make things much easier.
Edit: At the very least, allow us to equip multiple Exotic armor pieces, but only have the Exotic perks from one piece of our choice be in effect. The rest won't provide their Exotic perks, but would still provide their normal perks and stats.

Haven't seen a post like this in a while. These kind of topics were all over the place when Destiny launched. Honestly, I'm all for it, but where I'm at now, I don't even wear exotic armor pieces. I haven't touched many of my exotics in a long time to be honest, I mainly use my sword or sleeper depending on what I'm doing. What they should do, which would be beneficial more than just the exotic aesthetic, is to allow transmogrification or a wardrobe system... Allowing us to utilize the appearance of a piece of gear while using the stats from something else. Fashion Destiny is best Destiny.

Edited by CatMan: 5/9/2016 6:54:35 PMWhy did u make a poll for this? So the people saying no can feel the salt XD. Bet those who are the ggs and nerfers. Bungie needs to make a separate game for them. It's pve only and people are still bitching unbe -blam!-ing lievable
-
I've been wanting the PvE limit removed for a while. Bump.
-
Bump! Would love this or at least a new pve mode to try it out.
-
Why not PvE been nerfed to hell at least this will make up for it. PvP shouldn't be impacted because it's separated. It's win win in my book.

Edited by Sarattack: 5/8/2016 10:20:01 PMI'd love to see this happen.
-
I always thought Bungie would eventually release some super-ultra-hard-hyper-edition mode that would allow us to do this. But we got Festival of the Lost.
-
Hell yea. Bump.

Edited by CatMan: 5/9/2016 3:55:05 PMReally hope this happens in the next dlc, and we want consumables that turns kinetic weapons into a damage type bungie.

1 Replyif this happens, give warlocks their boots.
-
That would be fun

1 ReplyDefinitly For PvE, Id love to use my Suros With my Raze Lighter
-
Love it. Fun is far more important than balance in PVE.

4 RepliesIt would be great if we could, I even suggested awhile back on the wish list thread that they could maybe create a new rarity called Mythic. This would take the current role of exotics and allow us to wear full exotic sets. Imagine the variety in gameplay it would give and the new chase for something even more special since exotics are so common now so to speak. In my mind something loses its exotic status when everyone and there mums can obtain them.
-
I just wish we could opt to use two weapons instead of one weapon and one armour.
-
I would rather have the ability to choose my two exotics that I can equip instead of just 1 each of armor and weapon.
-
I wouldn't mind since most of the exotics are shit thanks too nerf babies. if we could use two exotic weapons instead that's fine with me since we already have the option to equip another piece of exotic armor.

2 RepliesEdited by FatMacBrbn: 5/9/2016 6:04:52 PMI agree. The one time you can wear two exotics at the same time is with faction class items. But by the time you get it, it's pointless. You get it at rank 25. 25!! You've obtained everything you want from the faction probably and might as well join another by then. Also, a lot of these exotics have perks that aren't worth being standalone pieces. Alchemist Raiment, No Light Beyond, Apotheosis Veil, and others. In fact, these could of been exotic artifact perks. Then you got wasted skins/slots of exotic armors that all do the same thing. It's so excessive that over three pieces of exotic armor for warlocks all offer the same extra grenade perk. Stretching it out to make each piece differ by grenade type just seems wasteful. It seemed like a good idea initially, back when exotic armors still had that new game smell. But after all these patches and hours played I don't see much game breaking by allowing us to equip more than one.

4 RepliesI've been saying this for a long time, can't very well become a "legend" when your gear gets restricted. The only thing legendary with this game are the fools who think anything is ever going to change with Bungie and continue to throw money at the screen. P.S. There is no such thing as OP in PvE, get over yourselves.
-
Why wouldn't you want to feel OP in PvE? I get this might cause some problems in PvP, but I don't see how being "stronger" in PvE might be a problem. Isn't that the end goal, to be strong enough to take on challenging content? If you're worried that strong gear might break the game, then maybe the problem isn't that gear is too strong, it's that the endgame challenges aren't challenging enough.

Edited by seraphic_thunder: 5/9/2016 9:25:21 PMI would like this. At the very least, there are some exotics (weapons included) that I feel should be given the "Life Exotic" perk as I do not feel that they are "Exotic" on their own. That, and I'd love to see the combos that people would come up with.

1 ReplyYeah, because TOM, Black Spindle, and Sleeper Simulant wouldn't be op in PvE.....or the Ram/Nothing Manacles/Voidfang Vestments......or Celestial Nighthawk/Young Ahamkara's Spine/Alpha Lupi/Bones of Eao....etc etc. There's a reason the limit is there, and it's a good one.
