It does happen a LOT and yes, they do get kills, in fact they are at a huge advantage, this advantage is the very reason for the existance (and banhammer for using) lagswitches. As for it being my internet, that's not the problem at all, probably not even the fault of the glitchey person. The problem is when two people who live on different sides of the planet are playing each other and their connections to each other aren't in sync. This is a known issue that bungie admitted is affecting hit detection. This week in the update notes they said they are trying to work around it (instead of just going back to CBMM). Even if you aren't having major issues with lag there are many many other issues with SBMM such as : *making it terrible to play a social game with friends who aren't of the same skill level *every game being "sweaty" *exponentially longer matchmaking wait times *loading into a 6v6 Playlist and having a 3v6, 3v4, 4v4, etc. for 1/2 the match (probably happened to me 30+ times during this IB) All of these are the trade-offs for bad players not having to be matched with players of every skill level

  • I think some people need to stop blaming lag on their issues. And the fact that you can't comprehend the difference between lag and lag switching shows you have no clue what you're talking about. How many lag switchers have I come across? None. How many red bars have I faced? A lot, of which only a fraction were lagging enough to impact my experience (i.e. causing hit detection issues, glitching across the map, etc). And when they are that bad, it's rare that they can actually kill me. But perhaps that's because I am smart enough to move around so that I, too, am glitching around on their screen. And guess whose damage registers more accurately? Hint: it's not the one lagging. As far as SBMM is concerned, it's a matter of opinion. There are pros and cons to both and neither is necessarily 'better'. To claim otherwise is ignorant. I will not, nor was I arguing this topic.
