With RNG Eververse packs you are simply throwing your money down the toilet hoping for something you want. Over and over and over and over again.
Weighted against full sets -which you should be able to just buy!!!
All in a kids game.
This is bungie. Our beloved bungie. Aiming their random dollar sinks at kids.
Wow.
Forget how much you want a set of armor. Forget how you already paid for the game.
They just can't straight up sell something. They'd rather make it so you won't get what you want and will have to churn in more and more money to get it.
You get to a point where you really feel like you've -blam!-ed up and spent all your spare cash and that makes you want to pay more not to leave on that feeling. Hoping for your gear.
It's -blam!-ing disgusting what they're promoting with rng in Eververse.
It's straight up gambling in a game rated teen.
It's weighted against us.
It's bungie saying we honestly just want as much of your money as we can get.
It's shameful.

Edited by Star Gazer2: 4/29/2016 6:23:46 PMI'm just going to leave this video here, it talks a bit about gambling in Destiny. So, whatever... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veusf6lcm6g

I paid 40 bucks for my full taken set...I knowingly spent 40...I chose to spend 40....that's how life works

"Shameful" is not having the control to not purchase such things... Bungie isn't making anyone buy these items. "Shameful" is not having parents that dictate whether or not their child is buying things online without their permission. Bungie isn't doing anything wrong, they're simply doing business just like any other video game from NBA 2k16 to Batman... Let's not even talk about a in game purchase monster like Candy Crush that makes an estimated 850k/day!! It's business... Plain and simple. It's like blaming McDonald's for over weight people... C'mon man. Get real. People need to take control of their own actions... And PARENTS, these days, definitely need to take back control of their children.

Stuff it. Go protest against fantasy football betting websites and do something that makes a little more sense.

14 RepliesThe people who defend this blatant bullshit are ridiculous. I would be lying if I said it didn't make me feel violent the more I see it.

Over and over and over and over again.
Except when you can choose not to do so, aware of the fact you can get three per week. This is a matter of self-control.
Forget how much you want a set of armor. Forget how you already paid for the game.
Refer to the above.
They just can't straight up sell something. They'd rather make it so you won't get what you want and will have to churn in more and more money to get it.
Because even if they did, they would get backlash by people saying that their Microtransactions are pay2win, despite the armor always coming at 3 Defense; no one with a right mind would pay for what would be essentially rerolls on armor.
You get to a point where you really feel like you've -blam!-ed up and spent all your spare cash and that makes you want to pay more not to leave on that feeling. Hoping for your gear. It's -blam!-ing disgusting what they're promoting with rng in Eververse.
Again, this is a matter of self-control. Bungie is not forcing you to do anything, you chose to gamble away your money. You were not aware of your funds; or rather, you were and you didn't care.
It's straight up gambling in a game rated teen.
You know what other game has this? Literally any MMO with a Cash Shop.
It's weighted against us.
Proof please.
It's bungie saying we honestly just want as much of your money as we can get.
Of course Bungie wants your money; any game company wants your money. It's up to you to decide how much you're willing to give them.
It's shameful.
You sure are.

Do you watch Bdobbinsftw by any chance?

It's sucks and unfortunately it's working. I see so many people buying packages. I've realized except for token improvements such as his update and HOW at the end of burn out cycles this game will just continue how it has. Planned obsolescence and increased grind to incentivize purchase
-
It's not gambling. It's closer to buying a pack of trading cards. You don't know what you get until you've paid for it. Gambling has a chance of return, no gaurentee. The sterling packages will always give you something, but not what you want.

So why are kids playing a T rated game bad parenting in my opinion and they don't promote gambling cause the three free ones they give you totally say hey pal go steal your parents credit card and buy more its a choice just like the choice you made to be ignorant.
-
i have never heard anyone in my life call these machines gambling machines your argument is invalid.

Lmfao! You blew all your money on cosmetics for your character in a FPS!?! That's both ridiculous and pathetic.

I think the vast majority have given up buying it now.

3 RepliesEight year olds buy Pokemon cards. That's gambling too, right?

Edited by fibeto: 4/30/2016 6:13:48 AMTotally expected to open this post and have the first response be someone disagreeing with you. I'm here to agree. It's a total gamble. It can easily make you broke with no sense of accomplishment or anything rewarding or useful. The fact that we can get duplicates is what makes it unethical. They should only be able to drain each of our money to an extent and that's it. Unfortunately, whoever came up with the sterling silver mystery bags is a money hungry jackass. Added: pokahmanz cards last forever, destiny will be gone in 8 years. Is it ethical to slime our money for something that's not permanent?

9 RepliesI have to say, when I saw people with a full set of taken armor I just couldn't help it, I felt so sorry for those guys, streamers make money out of doing stupid shit like that, but I'm pretty sure some people just did it because they are sick addicted to this shit.

Edited by Johnny Five: 4/29/2016 8:34:27 PMBeloved bungie? Are you new here? You realize the people that made bungie successful left.. right? They are no longer the team of people that we had respect for. All of them are over at 343 studio's now.

3 RepliesIn that case we'd better ban WoW, The Division, Diablo and well -blam!- it every RPG out there. Perish the thought our 13 to 18 year olds ever develop gambling problems from video games.
