Just asking. I used my Hammer of Sol the other day on your typical vanguard heroic strike, and the damage to my targets was almost minimal. It's this way with other classes as well? Since when did my primary cause more overall damage to a single target than my "super" ability?
Edit: Great responses! Maybe if we complain as a PvE community we can achieve PvP results!!
Edit: Keep those responses coming! Eventually Gizmo, or Cosmopolitan, or whatever his name is will have to listen!!!
Edit: To clarify, I used HoS as an example, but meant Supers across the board. I'm not solely complaining about Titan awesomeness

I play either Voidwalker or Sunsinger Warlock and long ago I figured out that Warlocks were all about grenade abilities and crowd control Super-ing the boss is pointless, just keep nuking adds and snipe the boss inbetween

So true- I nova bombed a level 17 Phalanx on Mars today from my 317 warlock. Only took down about 2/3 of his life. I thought are you effing kidding me???!?!?!

All supers need a PvE buff.
-
Supers need a massive buff in PvE. Especially the big, one shot supers. Seriously, a FoH should more than kill a reaver captain, and it shouldn't take an entire arc blade to kill a knight major.

How can one hammer kill a guardian? But then when you throw it at a phalanx (RIP to spelling) it will eat it

3 RepliesYou think it's bad now, give it another six months. Bungie's obsession with constantly increasing the TTK across the board in PVP is having and incredibly bad effect on PVE play...which is EXACTLY what I think they want. Player count is way down and they're doing everything possible to increase the time it takes to clear any given activity just to keep the "hours played" up.

2 RepliesEdited by Sage 13: 4/26/2016 10:05:06 PMBut, if everyone's super, then no one is.

4 RepliesYou're just not using the hammer right. It absolutely blows in PVP now (at least to me) but when I ran vanguard strikes it was a blast. Run it with sunspots, explosive pyre and sunscorched. Let a group rush you then pop super, instant over shield from sun spot and hammers to throw. I ran that setup with bad juju for super recharge and crest of alpha lupi for extra orbs for teammates. It was great especially on the undying mind and Omnigal!

2 RepliesDatto made a video disscusion about this topic I recommend watching it

1 ReplyAll supers need a massive damage buff.

2 RepliesI use hammer of sol constantly. On average I get about 1 or 2 kills with it, so instead of using my super I use the perk that recharges your nades quicker and I've found that a lot more effective than my actual super lol
-
2 RepliesThey're adding a new nightfall modifier called devastator that buffs super damage.
-
1 ReplyNah. You're just terrible.

Shadowshot only grants you credit for one kill per use when you have the 30 super kills bounty, no matter how many orbs you generate.
-
Supers are just boring now yes
-
high impact snipers do as much or more damage than regular golden gun in most situations. The only Super in the game that has more damage than Sleeper Simulant is a Celestial Nighthawk shot. Even then it's only about 2x of a sleeper shot. ....so I seriously wait 5+ minutes for 2 sleeper shots huh? Dragon's Breath deals more hate and death to a crowd than nova bomb or fist of havoc. Blade dancer...? in PVE ...? hahahahahaha! Stormtrance is actually pretty useful in PVE ... but then again I've never heard of any stormtrance clutch raid saves at Oryx......have you? Hammers are a joke, the most useful part of Sunbreakers these days is usually Simmering Flames.... Self-Res is Self-res, and Titan Bubbles are Titan Bubbles, useful bordering on mandatory for certain things, ....and utterly boring.

in pvp snipers do more damage than hammers

Fost of havoc with aftershock will net better results

2 RepliesYep. Today my golden gun won't even kill a regular level 41 yellow bar enemy with three shots. That's a serious problem.
-
My golden gun runs out right when I need it the most :(
-
Golden Gun cannot even kill a red-bar wizard with a solar shield in CoE (Player Level 40 with 334 light); what a joke!

Edited by Coreycrawford50: 4/26/2016 6:20:25 PMI killed a sunbreaker in his super yesterday. Without using my super.

Yeah bladedancer and gunslinger feel weak

It's been like this since the beginning.
