Hand Cannons need small buff to range

Some Hand Cannons need a bit more dps at range. Thorn is one of which it is really underpowered and needs more range dps.

  • I'd love to move away from the "accuracy cone" (poor design as there is a chance they will miss even in optimal range) and instead have pin-point accuracy with massive falloff outside of their max optimal range (ADS only). Meaning the range stat would affect falloff instead of accuracy. Any changes to accuracy should only affect hand cannons while ADS and specifically exclude TLW's ADS. Also, Thorn needs to stay dead. Leave that crutch on the ground and walk with your own 2 feet.

    • Haha wow it's a hand cannon they have enough range you prob just suck at shooting or have a low range stat. Range finder is amazing I hear.

          • All handcannons need a range and accuracy buff. The TK release really fuked handcannons over.

          • The range is fine where it is, it needs a stability buff or aim assist buff but thats it.

            • Hand cannons really do need more range especially legendary ones. There's no way I should be constantly getting outranged by a doctrine when I have a hand cannon. Hand CANNON

              I wouldn't mind if they could make the longer ranged handcannons, or slow fire-rate handcannons a bit more consistent... I hate dying when one on target bullet randomly doesn't hit even though other shots that probably shouldn't have hit do. The First Curse is so close to being a very good weapon... I just find that it has a few moments where bullets just miss or don't come out of the gun or something... Which is very punishing due to the fact that its firerate is so slow... And extremely frustrating due to the fact that it was the stat making the weapon miss rather than your aim. I mean when it's really long range I expect the bullet to miss a majority of the time so I don't contest. But at close range, I can tell when it should connect. It makes it hard to trust meaning I rarely use it in Trials unless its a close range map. I think Handcannons in general are fine, just could use a tweak maybe.

              • Check out the HC on my hunter it has pretty good damage at further ranges then other HC I own

              • Hand Cannons aren't supposed to be viable at longer range. If however, you want an HC with more of a Scout Rifle feel you can try The First Curse.
