I don't see the point. If it's literally only about loot for you then you have a major addiction. Some of us would like to shoot a thing or two before being dragged to the end of the map by some junkie. Just like Bungie implemented a way for people being afk to be taken care of, they should be coming up with ideas to keep people from rushing past everything to the boss. The other people in the strike team that are killing things as intended shouldn't be punished for someone's addiction.
The other people in the strike team that are killing things as intended shouldn't be punished for someone's addiction.
Pot, meet kettle. The intention of the strike is made clear during the fly-in sequence: Kill a specific target (or multiple in the case of Dust Palace and Shield Brothers). Your addiction to kill every last enemy in a strike could be construed as a punishment for those that wish to achieve the objective in a timely fashion.

Ever Heard!

Maybe they should base rewards on kills and assists that way people will have incentive not to rush

2 RepliesYou know... Dont like it? Get a group of friends. you only need you plus two others. And take your sweet time going through the strikes. Stop trying to dictate how people play. the game itself is a loot driven Game.
-
1 ReplyAll Strike matchmaking should be 100% optional. If people want to take their time and play it slow, they should be able to do it alone.
-
4 RepliesSame here. I was trying to do that Black Spindle quest and had never done it before. Here i am trying to decypher runes and take in the scenery and these 2 other retards are thinking it's a race.

6 RepliesPeople rush through strikes because some of the guns in this game can only be acquired through the vanguard level up.(which is ridiculous) . One rank requires 2500 exp, with each strike rewarding about 100 exp. That means a player would have to run 25 heroic stirkes(15 minutes x 25 = over 6 hours of strikes) to rank up once and have a low (1/16 or less chance)of getting the weapon you want and even a smaller chance of getting the roll the player wants. Hence, the problem here isnt the player. It's the amount of time required to gain loot that players try their best to be efficient rather than linger and enjoy the strike.

Hahaha bad b8 m8

The easiest way to prevent this is to add doors like in the nexus mind that require you to kill everything for them to open.
-
10 RepliesI remember you saying it's so you can do bounties just them on patrol.
-
5 RepliesSo stop people from playing the way they want to play so you can play the way you want to play. Slightly conceited
-
1 ReplyAlthough I completely agree with your post, the strikes have become extremely monotonous / repetitive .. if Bungie actually did something to prevent it, then there we go, problem solved, but i don't see that happening

Get a team and don't cry some people just want the the rep. The engrams and the endloot
-
Their's only two things they could even do to try and stop this; 1: make them have more locked points (as in you have to kill all enemies in the room/area to proceed 2: make them more rewarding ( getting more kills on your way to the boss would increase your drop rate of high end loot from said boss)

13 RepliesEdited by OdinsKnight101: 4/20/2016 11:12:46 PMLook the only reason you should pick heroic strikes is because you want a challenge. Skipping the entire strike is not the issue, because let's face it. No one wants to deal with that room just before darkblade (the one filled with shrekrrs). No the real issue is people never being able to comprehend the idea that there supers (not arcblade) are actually awesome to use. Look if you just want to get them done quickly, choose the playlist to the left, same rep gains and can be done even quicker. So yeah my two cents. Don't join heroic strikes unless you want to fight hordes of enimies like the rest of us and know the value of your super.

So much salt...

If the loot system wasn't so unrewarding people wouldn't rush. The problem doesn't start with the person using the 'drug' it starts with the person 'making' it Don't blame people for rushing to get loot when RNG in this game is the worst from any game ever!

4 RepliesHere's how to 'fix' strikes Create two modes for heroic weekly strike playlist 1. Vs mode - more points for more enemy kills. All enemies in darkness zones must be killed to proceed. 2. Speed mode - The quicker you complete the strike the more points you get AFK - if a player is idle for more than 3 minutes they get removed from the strike.

1 ReplyI haven't seen one of these posts in forever.

2 RepliesI paid for the game like everyone else. Therefore i play it how i want to play it. This is what happens when a game as match making. A reason raid match making wont work
-
6 RepliesIf you buy the game for me I will play your way. Shooting everything in the strike does nothing for you.
-
6 RepliesThen play on your own there is too much to get done to waste it shooting trash mobs
-
9 RepliesI agree, my pace is fairly slow as I'm a support character and the amount of idiots who charge off on their own is a serious detriment to play. This more or less ruined my first Malik strike, I ran out of ammo due to not having time to grab any and was basically useless throughout. I can't support you if I can't keep up.
-
2 RepliesI rush ahead sometimes and sometimes I don't. Just depends on the strike and my mood. If everybody rushes I certainly rush too. Its easy to keep everybody from rushing. Put up invisible barriers that disallow passage until adds or an object is killed. Obviously Bungie doesn't care, but hey what do I know. I'm just an addict apparently.

11 RepliesExplain how killing everything you already have done a thousand times has made a difference? Why waste ammo on all the crap before the boss if you don't get nothing from it except knowing you're wasting ammo. Not everyone has to play the why you won't. If you don't like it. Don't play it. It's that simple :)
