Of you are playing with skilled players id said Hunter but if you are playing with scrubs then Warlocks. (Because of the self res)

1 ReplyI think titans are the most useful as some strats require them (you can't melt ogres with ToM without them) but the other classes have their moments while warlocks don't really have strong supers except for specific parts. So answer is hunter because wombo combo for life. :D

Nightstalkers most def when it comes to generating orbs (same as with Stormcallers) and Sunsingers for taking risks and second winds (and spamming nova grenades to fúck shit the fúck up).

I mean, I'm not trying to sound critical or rude, its just that I've played with really bad hunters, really bad warlocks, and really bad titans. You can complete the raid with any combination of players as long as they know what to do (have reasonable light level, etc.)

Year 1 was warlocks, but Bungie made KF cheese free and stacked it with mechanics so that self res won't help you because dying in the first place initiates a wipe 90% of the time.

Seeing alot of dismissal towards hunters as a raid class. Gunslinger was great in VoG. First time through hard mode, it was five of us with a void walker. One wipe at each boss with no-one over lvl 29. Bladedancers ran sword just fine. Kind of handy to drop the sword, blink strike and go again. Invisibility was handy for mines as well. Let's not forget going in for the revives. Shadowshot is incredibly useful. Titans have traditionally been ahead of the curve somewhat in raids, but to see other classes as a liability? Not all Warlocks spec for self res, WoL is handy...but striker works well too in many instances and hunters get by just fine.
