Haha great value, they're literally selling you a tiny piece of code hid behind a gambling box.

1 ReplyKeep going strong man.

1 ReplyYear two has been nothing but a money grab, they are laughing all the way to the bank, I bet the sequel will have microtransactions from the start and probably day one dlc as well...
-
1 ReplyWhy do you care you don't even play the game?
-
2 RepliesI've put 250+ in CSGO, now 40$ so far in Destiny Silver. I need to stop.
-
1 ReplyWhat's worse is people who say they quit the game BUT ALWAYS POST. STOP. SERIOUSLY.
-
5 RepliesI'd rather spend money on micro dlcs to have shit I want and be able to use it rather then shell out 20$ on a piece of dlc that may not even stay relevant or be able to even play with other players. Dlcs often segregate the player base. Which is why companies like 343 stopped doing dlc like that. Halo 5 is a fine example of a game doing micro dlc. But you still get plenty of content with each update. (Though 343 haters will walk in and say it should have been at launch or it's just more war zone trash etc. can't please those people.) I'm 100% convinced it wouldn't matter how much or how little money bungie was given by us. There still wouldn't be enough content for players and people would still find some way to hate the content.

1 ReplyEdited by Erijian: 4/17/2016 8:09:09 PMTo me it's a waste of money, but I don't feel like I have the right to tell grown-ups who work for their money what they should and shouldn't spend it on. It's just not right.
-
1 ReplyIts their money. Micro transactions are its own market. Free to play games and games like GTA Online have show how successful they are.
-
1 ReplySo? If you don't want to spend money, then don't. If people do want to, that's fine too.
-
Dude are you smoking. I played a lot this week. 3 hard raids. Poe x10, 3 flawless trials. Got a bunch of gear. Have not even had time to get to nightfalls and strikes yet. Been a blast this week.
-
5 RepliesI have a game for you op that's worse. CS:GO
-
This was probably more of the case for me with the Gears of War 3 skins. I've only bought the lowest pack of silver once for Destiny for a dance and a taunt. Gotta make crusible more enjoyable right? Lol
-
5 RepliesI like poker
-
So this is how bungie gets paid for free content they add a micro transaction armor sets to get an income coming to make up for any losses.
-
4 RepliesWho cares what other people do in a game! It's a game! You want to worry about other people? Worry about real stuff, like how crappy our government is or how your relatives are doing! It's a game, if it bothers you that much, maybe you should go play something else or go outside and do something! I have trees to go cut down so I can finish clearing my property.
-
35 RepliesPeople spend how much to go to the movies for 2 hours? Yet spending money on a game I enjoy and have lots of time invested in I'm considered a sheep by all the OPs like you. It's my money I'll spend it how I want.
;)
-
I just spent the complimentary 400 silver they gave us when Eververse first released on the sterling treasures. I didn't spend a dime.
-
I bet the number of folks that spent > $25 is a ver small number.
-
1 ReplyYea my life is totally ruined by the 15$ in silver I purchased to get the taken armor. Idiot. Stop worrying about what other people spend their money on and what a corporation markets for sale. You don't have to like it that's life.
-
4 RepliesBut they are funding our game play. I have bought no silver, but I am not going to bite the hands that feed me. I *may* make fun of their dumb looking taken armor, but I would never tell them not to buy it.
-
4 RepliesEdited by EventHorizon_16: 4/17/2016 7:24:10 PMThose people keep the game going. It's not for me, but for other folks, SPEND AWAY!
-
Just be glad nobody made a "opening 500 supply drops" video yet... There are tons of those...
-
Trust me, there's been people who spent waaaaaay more money on some other games. And for like in game objects.
-
9 RepliesSome people also buy an Iphone
-
1 ReplyEdited by MrParadox002: 4/17/2016 5:25:38 PMIt's not really a big deal people have spent far far more on phone games for far less worthwhile content so.*shrugs*

You described buying music from the itunes store after hearing only a 30 second preview if the song. I always thought you were just bitter and obsessed, but you're actually tangentially insightful.
