Did anyone use thorn or TLW when TTK dropped for about 2 months before hand cannons got a slight re buff and some other weapons got nerfed?
No, the entire hand cannon class was destroyed. It was trash, there is no way to deny this. This was the age of scouts and pulse rifles.
Now that is has the same time to kill as a legendary or blue hand cannon it no longer has a reason to pick it over them. Even when thorn was "OP" my lord high fixer would consistently outgun other thorn users in a straight up fight at medium to long range. And now (if hand cannons were any good) my lord high fixer would just completely dominate it with no contest.
And not only did I use thorn when it was in the meta I also fought the mighty suros regime with it when it was a poor excuse for a club. It was my first and favorite exotic in destiny.

My apologies then. And I'd have to agree it doesn't need this last nerf (especially regarding the viability of HCs at the moment, as you pointed out). I would lie if I say I miss the days it was a two head shot kill though.

If they where to bring the hand cannon class back up this would be a completely different discussion.
