Didn't watch the stream, but I've heard PoE is coming back, and it's going to have a 'taken' form...
My question is: if the storyline follows, how is it after we kill oryx in KF that he 'takes' skolas & co? Did he take them beforehand?

11 RepliesNext time, at the tower, listen to Eris. He ain't dead. We banished him to his own dimension. Yet again a reason why some people need to learn to read AND listen in a game instead of flapping their gums...

I saw where they said we were still at war with his army

17 RepliesEdited by Mr.Spartan126: 3/25/2016 12:13:50 PMThere will probably be a good story reason for it. Say what you will about Destiny, but the Lore Cards have been great since "Dark Below" forward. I look forward to what the new Grimoire will say. As an example I have cited a Vex Grimoire card. The vex can teleport and time travel, so how can they possibly be held in a prison? Read below and you will see.
Qodron, Gate Lord "It is no prisoner. It is here with a purpose." Qodron sees only its own glorious future. It has come to the Prison of Elders, with an army of devout Vex war-machines, to take what it believes to be its first steps toward that future. This machine beast has only one mission. At some point a Light will shine within the walls of this Prison, and for its gloried future to unfold, that Light must die. Qodron is not the prisoner here. You are, Guardian.
TL:DR
The vex are in the prison because the want to be. So they have an easily accessible way to smite the light of guardians.
Now then... Please take a nova bomb to the face. ヽ( ゜ヮ゜)ノ.・゜*。・+☆ (._. ) ^Me ^NB ^OP

Edited by Patriot121: 3/25/2016 10:15:02 PMJust because Oryx is dead doesn't mean the power and mantle of The Taken King is gone. The Taken still exist, their leader is just dead. Oryx was so insanely powerful that a hole in the fabric of the universe is just lying there waiting for someone to fill it. The power to Take is just sitting there. The Reason we killed Alak-Hul was because he was a Hive powerful enough to fill that hole by assuming the Osmium Throne, mantling Oryx, and become the next Taken King if allowed the opportunity. This new update focuses on Malok, another Hive powerful enough to assume the throne and we are trying to prevent that from happening.
-
Poe's taken? So star wars and destiny are connected now?
-
Because Oryx was only borrowing the power to control the taken. Everytime he took something he was offering himself to the darkness and saying that his will was greater. The taken are basically the darkness version of guardians. Oryx gained the power by "communing with the deep" as he put it in the book of sorrows.

1 ReplyOryx is dead after the raid. Officially dead. Dunno how exactly Variks is keeping taken who are supposedly "not bound by terrestrial constraints". Writers pretty much don't give a flying -blam!- anymore.
-
Because they have no other ideas.
-
He is not taking Skolas, Skolas is dead
-
1 ReplyI think Malok is taking them since it is hinted he is becoming the new taken king as the Darkblade attempted to, dont quote me on that though
-
Because story was and is rubbish and totally irrelevant. This update is just an illusion for people to believe it's actual content.
-
Eris Morn: "The Taken King is defeated but not destroyed"
-
They took all them Jolly Ranchers
-
Varkis has been imprisoning taken
-
Oryx didn't take them, Malok did
-
Thats the only way, or a taken, robbed his power after killing him and probably malok is the new oryx", yes thats a bit weird because there will be an assault of malok, but yeh
-
My assumption is that with Oryx dead the hive are in a civil war trying to take his mantle from each other and this update is centered around a powerful hive entity trying to gain control of the now leaderless taken army and becoming a hive God too.

2 RepliesIf you didn't read the cards, Oryx gained power from the worm. Oryx is dead, what happened to the worm? How many other worms can give its host taken power?
-
Oryx wasn't king of the Taken. The Darkness took Oryx... Hence The Taken King
-
Lol, talking as if mehstiny had a story line.

8 RepliesEdited by C-Sentinel: 3/25/2016 4:39:31 PMHe doesn't take Skolas. Skolas is already dead, and their will be no updated version of him. Also, yes the Taken can teleport, but they are most likely being restricted by the queen's Techeuns.
-
Im pretty sure they stated on the stream that the remaining taken are being sent to prision within the update
-
There still some taken alive out in the solar system and he captured them.
-
No no no theres a new mode with new taken enemies not taken versions of enemies
