15 RepliesGot a Paleocontact with focused fire, counterbalance and max stability, love the thing and was excited to try it it in pvp, as it is extremely effective in pve; It is absolute crap, killing in 8 shots somewhat slowly whereas doctrine kills in 12-18 shots [i]very[/i] rapidly. Last word beats [b]every[/b] auto rifle in the auto rifle range, and Mida for some reason feels [i]very easy[/i] to use, and that is probably why people use that gun

Those 3 weapons outperform 90% of all other weapons is the point. Yes you can use other weapons and be successful if you have skill, but those 3 weapons make it so you don't really need as much skill to have the same time to kill. And when you are skilled with those weapons you make them almost unbeatable.

I don't think that is the point, the point that is trying to be made is that those three simply out perform the others on a more consistent basis. Should we nerf and buff? Yes it creates change. Here is why. Variety of perks and stats give players a chance to change things around and see what works. However, with variety and millions of ppl playing some weapons will always start to outshine others and create a meta. Which is the best at that time. When nerfs and buffs come out it changes the game and causes ppl to change weapons to find what works best all over again. To stop a weapon from becoming a meta type weapon you have to take away variables like range, rate of fire, impact and perks like litc. All weapons would be exactly the same, and we wouldn't have variety.

Got killed buy Doctrine of Passing? alot.... so, I figured Auto rifles have changed since I left?? Busted out the old Shadow Price and scored some awesome hate mail!! I'm not awesome in PvP by any means, let me just state that up front.. But I didn't have any issues cutting down Doctrine users with my Shadow Price... Can anyone confirm or deny if Shadow Price is relevant or am I just getting a little lucky....

I can do decent in 6v6 pvp with just about any gun. I get better results with doctrine as primary, however. 3v3 the list gets a lot slimmer bc of the chosen meta. You can't compete with those guns unless you're using one of them.

There are a lot more guns that are useful if you go look at my hunter ( I main a warlock I'm not screaming for a nerf) I use the year one trails auto rifle yes I know you can't get it rn but there are a lot more guns you can use (and yes I suck at pvp I will admit it)

Not really 3 guns. Those are weapons that are in the meta and overused. Mainly people roll with them so it just seems as only 3 weapons are used all the time. I usually just use my red spectre its pretty fun to use. Actual game modes like trials where everyone sweats i use either Tlaloc on my war lock or grasp of malok or red spectre.
