This crucible is garbage now.
So why don't we just take every other gun outta the crucible and give everyone snipers cause that's all anyone uses. No skill involved to use one either. Just camping ass bitches sitting in crouch. Great way to make it balanced, Bungie.
Let's give everone a 1 shot weapon with aim assist and perks to make it even easier. Brilliant.

Need to buff all primaries and shotguns. Let's go back to 2.0. (Pulse rifle meta) Then buff everything to match. Shotguns still be worth something and snipers still good, but can be countered. Oh ya, and primaries can actually kill to. Too many nerf this and nerf that. FFD up pvp.

cruc has gotten worse when Y2 hit. after all of the complaining and nerfs of everything but scouts. If this next major update doesn't bring Y1 end game up to par, definitely taking a sabbatical.

I can tell you one thing for absolute sure. Nothing Bungie does wrt to Crucible will EVER be met with anything but disdain. All the bitching and moaning about snipers WILL result in them being -blam!-ed with to the point they are not playable. That'll be a shame as I just started using 1KYS. Figures!

The effective counter to a sniper (primary wise) is a scout. BUT, scouts have paced shots, so it also allows the sniper to duck in and out of cover to essential remove the effects of flinch. Primaries need some love. Changing special ammo, nerfing fusion rifles is not going to solve the special weapon problem that has been plaguing Destiny since day 1.

I say this in the nicest way. Dude relax. I never really got nor am I still good with a sniper, but I made it an effort to stick with one for an extended amount of time this ib. What I saw were people running up on me in an open lane with no cover while I'm carrying a sniper. They're going to get domed. Hell I don't have to try to aim. As soon as I scope they're head shows up in the crosshairs. And just before I pull the trigger I see them stop dead in their tracks as if to say sh#t. Other times if someone gets the drop on me and I don't want to die I know I have one chance and that's with one shot from a sniper rifle. And let's face it, you get into a 1 on 2 gun battle where everyone is full health your chance of surviving and killing both enemies without grenade or super is slim, you're probably having to use some sort of one shot weapon. Which also happened to me this weekend. I killed both guys with two headshots back to back. I know they were pissed at me and came shotgunning for me, but I didn't want to die either. It's killed or be killed.

3 RepliesEdited by Twohothardware: 2/29/2016 7:06:32 PMWhen Bungie nerfed the time to kill and range of ALL the primary weapons at Taken King's launch and then severely nerfed them once again in December it allowed all the long range weapons like Snipers to move into close to mid range because they now have more time to aim and get a shot off before you can kill them with a Primary. Primaries are too weak now to effectively challenge Snipers, Heavy Weapons, grenades, and Supers that kill instantly. All Bungie accomplished by slowing the time to kill of primaries was make the game entirely revolve around instant kill weapons and abilities. In Year 1 Primaries like Thorn, Hawkmoon, and TLW accounted for among the top kills in Trials. In Year 2 1,000 Yard Stare, a sniper, accounts for more kills than all the Primaries used in Trials combined. The past month that account was over 35% of the kills.

If by "crucible", do you mean "trials"? I play ever other mode daily, including legacy, and see maybe two sniper rifles aimed at me per day. It's virtually all auto from my perspective. I would be rich if I had a nickel for each time I see I was killed by a Doctrine of Passing.

Yep and just like ever nerf something els becomes the new op and everyone killed by it cries for more nerf.. PVP will never be balanced as long as pvp and pve are connected.

2 RepliesI dont really care about meta or guns being used that's no big deal for me if its in the game use it by all means but for god's sake fix the lag if they fix the lag I would be happy anyone can use what ever gun they want just fix the DAMNNN LAGGGGG!!!!
