HoW era was better than the Taken King.

----Patrol was worth doing! Pack of Wolves (With treasure chest) and Sword of Crota spawns (Skywatch was amazing)
•Elemental Primaries
•Re-rolling crappy perked weapons. [b]Once got a Hard Luck Charm with bad perks, re-rolled it twice and got Luck in the Chamber and Final Round.[/b]
•Etheric Light system was amazing
•Bonds, cloaks and marks didn't have light which was -blam!-ing awesome so you could wear anything and look sexy af
•Trials wayyyyy easier back then (I went flawless 5 times year 1, only 3 so far year 2, why you may ask? Back then the Meta was offensive, now everyone uses sniper and sits back camping).
•Daily [b]Gave actual good rewards. Got two legendary engrams.[/b]
•Crucible Marks and Vanguard Marks (WAY BETTER!)
•More strikes than just Taniks, and Taniks over again
•Prefer Thorn/TLW (Mida, red death, auto rifles, all still good) now we are just stuck with only TLW and Sniper combo (COUGH COUGH NKUCH COUGH COUGH)
•GJALLAHORN
•BETTER LIGHT SYSTEM AND REWARD SYSTEM. You could wear any armor or weapon with a set light level so it is equal to all others**[i]NOTE[/i]
•Good exotics that are good, and not useless (Alchemists Raiment, Symbiote)
**[i]NOTE:[/i] [b]Back then the reward system for raids, PoE and trials was good. Everything had a set light drop. Kings -blam!-ing fall has given me lower level drops then I need "Smart Loot System" my ass. [/b]

Even though it hurts I have to agree I can't believe this game is regressing. The only problem with that era was thorn, THE biggest pvp crutch weapon of all time.

The meta was a bit out of hand, but you're right it was more fun. And the vanguard/crucible marks being combined was a good thing imo. Also you're absolutely right about the endgame activities. If you're lucky you got them all done in a day or two on all characters, but now it's no problem to do it all in a few hours.

Because of you aren't using the thorn, the last word, or the Hawkmoon, you ain't winning! You wanna use the Suros Regime and stand a chance? Ha! That's a good one! When everything two-shots you but your gun takes nearly two seconds to kill, you gonna have a bad time. Also better make sure you have one of the three OP shotguns and shot package. I absolutely hated that meta. All guns were at max damage value but only a select few were viable.

I'm not gonna lie. HoW era was awsome. ..but since I never went flawless in year one or 2 so far most of my trials gear is from bounties

The only bad thing about HoW was no cut scenes whatsoever, it would have been nice to see how he got out from prison or how the fallen attacked the awoken aside from the small teaser trailer video

I 100% agree so much armor to choose from at the time we all looked awesome and atleast my cape didn't have a light level on it. I miss my old iron banner cloak.

Yep, specially that you could reroll weapons. That way bungie could track which perks were garbage. Still they keep coming out with perks that are useless, and even some exotic armor make no sence to use

I don't think the meta was all that great in HoW, but everything else was. More variety in armor, etheric light allowing you to wear/use whatever you want, and we still had both raids and PoE. Plus, I miss my old exotics like the Ballerhorn, Icebreaker, Necro, Vex, and Queenbreaker's Bow.....

Not sure if it was really better, but it was far more because there was more to do. KF may be the best raid so far imo, but VoG is the most fun raid imo. I could run VoG several times a day and still have fun doing it unlike KF which just gets on my nerves because 1 error from 1 person in a fight usually ends up in a "Okay guys, wipe''. As for POE, that doesn't have to ever be relevant again as it was just rly boring.

This game was awesome when the highest light level was 30. Atheon hard was the challenge and Ghorn the weapon.

HoW made me quit the game until week 3ish of TTK. PoE and being level 34 on day 2 of HoW just ruined it for me.
