What's the point of that? You ask for people with experience. Yet you never give them
A chance to learn. Is it that really necessary?
And then to add on you make all these Req for trials yet your KD isn't even above a .90. And while I'll admit I'm not that good at crucible I still manage to keep a overall good KD when I Try. But others never give you the chance to show them!

If I'm hosting a raid I'd Like higher light so we can plow throu it jn a timely matter..if you want to start up your own raid party then do so and make what every requirements that float your boat.
-
We have every right to ask for experience as we have all started from the bottom. I ran with a group with limited to no experience on my first playthrough as I did not want to burden experienced players with me slowing them down. People have every right to play with people similar to their experience level and all you are trying to do is get an easy carry. If you were that bothered you would start your own posts asking for similarly experienced guardians, but you haven't. The only reason I am thinking is that you cannot be bothered to learn the raid like the majority of us spent countless hours doing
-
Well it is. It's been out half a year.
-
This is the reason I haven't been able to complete the raid. People don't wanna help even though I am a day one player. That woulda beat the raid the first week if I didn't have school the next day.
-
4 RepliesNo one want to do kings fall with me just because I'm 294 light level.
-
Your second sentence answers your question. We aren't looking to teach, we're looking to knock it out quickly. LFG is a magical place filled with wonder where anyone can make a group and set their own requirements!
-
Get friends. Creat a team. Learn and laugh together like all of us have. Then set your own req for your own team after completing kf so many times you just want it done as fast as possible...
-
Bro if I knew how to do the raid, or could trials carry, that would be all I'd do. People be tripping

I'm with equinox here. I run learner groups several times a month and only require the reccomeded light guidelines. And while I can somewhat agree with some of the 315+ requirements because in general when it comes reset day I want to get in and get the raid done. My chances of having a decent team are increased by requiring so. My advice to you is to start your own group. Exampe kings fall fresh with challenge mode. 3__+ light. Reccomeded malice and spindle. Copy and paste that to 3 or 4 hard mode posts and I will garuantee you will have more than enough folks messaging you to join. You will reach above 315 light and you will have access to more of these groups then.

3 RepliesI run learners groups, where I strictly take newbies into the raids, and teach them the non-glitch, right way to do that raids. I teach the challenge mode way to do the raid for each boss.
-
Make your own group and create your own parameters. Teaching and carrying are not the same.

1 ReplyI've done raids with high level lights and they can't even do the totems!! Did a raid with 308+ and absolutely flew threw it only wiping on Oryx about 4 times, it's a lottery if you get players who are capable or ones that have been carriedto high light.

8 RepliesEdited by Auriventris: 2/3/2016 12:54:57 PMWish I could afford 315 REQ packs :/ Guess I'll be booted because I don't have 10 twin jewels of Maethrillian and 5 nornfangs for Oryx. ='(

10 RepliesI LOL @ kids who need 315+ players for hard raid because you know they are the year 2 noobs. They don't know what it's like running VOG with all 26's they weren't there for that struggle *FLEX*
-
2 RepliesI joined a 319+ group the other day just to see if they were assholes. They were all cool people and we flew through the raid, wiping twice during the entire thing. I did a second run with them and when I finished I had spent 1 hour and 45 minutes for 2 runs. It was great.
-
Lol it's very sad I went to LFG just to look at all these kids who were like 1.7+ kd must hold your own and all that so I add them and then when I decide to look up their stats they are negative as -blam!-, and this happened with every LFG random who requested things like that. Why would you lie about your shitty stats when then could be looked up then request that the other person can "hold" their own lol
-
315+ usually guarantees somone experienced... Not everyone wants to sit in a raid for 3 hours helping/giving ppl chances lol And for trials I just post for ppl with positive k/d's
-
Make your own team of 305s or what ever, when I did the raid the first week on hard we were all between 305 and 307 if you watch youtube videos you can find any strategy even the challenges. If you are able to hold your own weight you can do it. Also make sure to do the warpriest challenge this week so that you can get some 320s. Gl :)
-
Start your own damn group and set your own requirements. Oh, but then you might not have experienced raiders to carry you.
-
Personally, when im recruiting from forums ill say "required: 310+ light (315+ given preference)" Seems fair, it's what we all do anyway. Im just being straight forward about it.
-
I hope for a 320 requirement in lfg
-
I'm happy to join an LFG raid group with either 1 first timer, or two low lights that really know what they're going. Any more than that, and I'm not willing to gamble with people I don't know IRL.

11 RepliesGet your light level up.
i don't even care for light level but still
When I do my reset raids I just want to get my loot quick. I don't want to have to teach the hard raid at that particular time. That being said, I never post light requirements anymore and often look on LFG for people who need help with raids later in the week. I made a post on how to find LFG a good raid team that explains this here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/187432875/0/0/1 That's for PVE. On the PvP side, statistics (k/d, ELO, DTR rank, etc.) are the only way to judge a player without ever playing with them. Are these numbers always indicative of a players skill? Not always, but often. It seems players mostly want to play with others that are at least their own skill level or higher in an effort to save time and have the best chance of success.

Edited by sionat: 2/3/2016 8:29:41 AMI don't ask for min light to run the raid...I will and have run with lower light; friends, clan, whatever. However when on LFG, I usually only join groups asking for 315+. Why? Hours spent on "fill in the blank" part of the raid in previous groups compared to 5 or less wipes for the whole thing, done in a couple hours across multiple characters. Contradiction? Perhaps, but it depends. If I want to get it done, better to finish quick as I don't always have time. If I already completed and I have xtra time, then I'll run just to help...those are usually lower light groups. Edit: 318+ groups are even better to join though in my experience. Hardly any issues with any role at any stage. Exceptions are out there, but I haven't seen it much.
