I do. Nightfalls used to be one of my favorites Strikes to do because it was actually challenging and unforgiving.
Anyone can solo a nightfall now, but props and respect to those who soloed it when "Nightfall" modifier was active. I soloed a few with my trusty Ice Breaker.
Whats your best Nightfall memory?
Edit 1. Wow 100+ replies, thats a lot of awesome (and frustrating) memories!
Edit 2. Dam 200+ replies, I love reading every comment i can, the nostalgia is BIG!
Edit 3. Yay 300+ replies, I know this is not a contest and I don't win anything but keep'em coming!
Edit 4. Omg 400+ replies, BOOM! just got mind blown.
Edit 5. Lol 600+ replies, keep sharing those moments people, let's make Bungie see this so they know we liked old Nightfall better xD
Edit 6. When creating this post I only thought a couple of people would get nostalgia and share some memories, but the replies are in the 1000's now! It's great to see Im not the only one who misses the sweaty hands and intense feeling from the old Nightfall.

should have never messed with them i dont remember a single person complaining about the nighfalls although im sure were a few. just another example of bungle trying to kill their game. it takes forever to rank up a faction now
-
Two friends down on Nexus nightfall, I remember solar burn being active. They died under Sekrion so reviving was a slim chance. Forced me to solo that boss battle, running from goblins left right and center. When it died I never felt such a champ as my team cheered :D Sound stupid I know but was a good time ;p

1 ReplyHunters were meds with invis, warlocks were an insurance policy with a revive and titans would help survival with the bubble
-
4 RepliesLol yes. And we we're like...does anybody have a self rez!? Unless you could invis, or self rez, or run and and drop a bubble, your chances of survival trying to rez a teammate was...questionable.

Kids these days wont know the struggle of going through the whole mission and being sent to orbit at the very end
-
1 ReplyYea that feeling like you're in an action horror film and can either be the hero or the failure lol
-
5 RepliesOmnigul with no burn, light switch, angry, and juggler...........nuff said.
-
Edited by Mr Fats: 12/17/2015 8:18:26 PMDunno man Imagine soloing a nightfall now with the old nightfall modifier just to get a bleeding horn
-
3 RepliesI remember clutching that sh*t with Bladedancer. It's a good thing that's gone though, can you imagine saber with orbit kicking? You'd have to burn him instantly every time.
-
Yeah I just came back and finally got a group for nightfall raid and there was one person left and then they died and I started cussing bc the thing had barely any life left and was the last boss. Then it restarted and I was like what??? Yeah I remember the fear of last guardian standing unless your defender then it might not be quite as bad lol
-
Yeah, Nightfalls used to be intense. I miss that. There's no more clutch save moments since they added checkpoints. They really messed up with the new Nightfall format. No exp boost, crummy rewards, forgiving if you die. I don't often do them anymore.
-
2 RepliesThey should bring the fire team to the beginning of the mission, but going to orbit was always really annoying
-
2 RepliesSoloed phogath 3x in a week. Those were the days,
-
2 RepliesSoloing nightfalls was truly a challenge in year one. The drops were pretty good if you succeeded and the self gratification was awesome as well. Omnigul was the hardest for me in year one. I only ever did with my Warlock. :P
-
I remember I soloed a rainbow nightfall using only NECHROCHASM on my hunter
-
1 ReplyI wall glitched most of my solos and used armor piercing to kill boss.
-
Solo'd about 10 nightfalls. Solar burn nightfalls were shite easy btw. It was fun to do, miss it as well.
-
I miss getting my asshole reamed by the Nexus Mind while Void Burn and Nightfall were in effect. The Shield Brothers don't compare at all.
-
3 RepliesIts really the casuals and newbies fault who bitch and moan if something in the game is too hard for them to do in 15 minutes. Pretty much everything challenging has been dumbed down to make it "accessible" to those players who refuse to raid but want to be max level and max light. Pretty sad. Now I hear you can even get 320 light helmets from SRL......
-
No not really
-
1 ReplyProbs to those who soloed them in Year 1? They really were not hard you know.....
-
I used to have to solo every nightfall because I didn't have any friends that played. It was rough.
-
I solo'd a nightfall once back in year 1. Took me a long time and too many wipes. But I finally did it and vowed never to do it again.
-
I agree. Losing its jeopardy has made NF like any other strike, which is a shame.
-
Pepperidge farm remembers.

Soloing Omnigul with a hunter. I'm average joe, too.
