Seriously though. I thought end game loot was restricted to end game activities.....
I don't even care about them selling level 25 kits for $40, since it's not end game tier loot.
Why would stupid ass racing reward you with gear at the same level as raiding, trials, and iron banner.
I usually support bungie in much of what they do, but this one pisses me off.
Even if, by some ridiculous line of thought, you consider SRL end game, why wouldn't they limit end game drops to once per reset like every single other end game activity? SRL has become the most rewarding activity in destiny now? Lol.
Maybe next month they'll add a remake of asteroids that drops 320 chest pieces after a couple hundred games. You know, to make sure there is enough endgame content and end game gear for everyone...

9 RepliesSome folks dont like raiding and arent good enough for pvp. This gives yet another avenue for them to be able to get some higher level gear. Even then it seems as if you have to grind a hell of alot to get there. I see no problem with it. Why not? They still need all their other gear to be 320 to hit 320 anyways. Change your tampon, stop being an elitist.

4 Replieswhat boggles my mind is..................... WHY THE -blam!- DO YOU CARE ABOUT MY CHARACTERS LIGHT LEVEL?
it has zero impact on you
-
4 RepliesI'm 298 and srl isn't dropping 300+ gear for me. Its all good but I enjoy it and I like getting the marks.
-
2 RepliesSalt... I got 2 320/helms and a 320 titan mark
-
3 RepliesEdited by Bigycheesy: 12/23/2015 12:39:28 AMConsistently winning races requires just as much skill as maintaining a high Pvp k/d or continually beating the hard mode raid challenges of Pve. With that said you don't need to be 1st place to get these 320 helmet/class item. I find that strange coming from bungie who is not known for free handouts for such an extended period of time.

Really it's an event, can't tell you how many online games I've played that events gave pretty OP gear. I like it and really see nothing wrong with it, it's letting the players do something new. Now the 40 dollar level pack is stupid it my opinion. Because it ranks up a sub class fully, I really think a player should level that themselves.
-
2 RepliesAgreed. 300, fine. 320 is BS.
-
2 RepliesTo promote the event and make the grind worth it. Grinding is and always should be rewarded. If it was all luck grinding would be pointless.
-
1 ReplyYear one, the raid is the only way to get end game content, people complain and ask for more options. Year two, Bungie offers more options to get end game light levels and, you guessed it, people complain.
-
1 ReplyI have a 320 helm and class item without ever stepping foot in Kings fall or trials. U mad?
-
8 RepliesI saw a guy get a 320 chest
-
2 RepliesEverything is 320 on your warlock! Nice!
-
4 RepliesI hate the raid sooo.... Yeah
-
1 ReplyIt's not an issue. The chance at 320 loot is the incentive to play it unless you just simply enjoy it that much. I don't mind it, it's provided me with Strange coins, motes of light, shaders, infusion material, armor and weapon parts, and legendary marks along with a couple exotics along the way. Not bad for a Holiday event it's like a great big Titan sized Christmas gift!

3 RepliesWell you are basing your point on that SRL is not end game content. The mode is a limited time event, much like how Iron Banner is a limited time event, and although some can say that SRL is too easy or redundant to be endgame content, the same can be said by some who play Iron Banner, which you specifically included as being considered endgame content. Furthermore, receiving loot past 300 light, or endgame loot, is obtained from a two common elements of endgame content: RNG, which is throughout all content in the game in some way, and the result RNG involved with 300+ light level loot, which is referred to as the grind. In Vault of Glass, Crota's End, Prison of Elders, King's Fall, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, Sparrow Racing League, and the Nightfall the grind is extremely prevalent because of the arduous task you must do to obtain loot, whether it be defeating enemies of extraordinary power, or completing matches to continuously rank up reputation that can hours upon days to reach a certain rank in order to have a chance at the requested gear. One last item to take into consideration is that unlike any of the other aforementioned activities, only helmets and class items will drop at what is considered the light level for the endgame.

I just want to know how there is no lag, and I never enter a race half way through and losing? Like in regular crucible
-
Two races after each other people got 320 helmets... :P
-
4 RepliesAnd this changes your gameplay how?
-
1 ReplyWell... SRL is free to play if you have taken king. So stop crying and go play some SRL for free loot.
-
1 ReplyEdited by spidercrawl: 12/22/2015 1:48:36 PMOh noooo player progression! Whatever shall we do! It's fine. The only two items that drop with posible 320 light are helms and class items (at least for me). That gets you to 312 at least with everything else being 310. If anything it help give players that boost above 310 that will help them get into hard raids.
-
2 RepliesNot sure why you are upset. Good loot for playing a fun activity? Sounds good to me.
-
1 ReplyI forgot about this thread. Bump for delicate snowflake crying.
-
5 RepliesIn fairness 320 drops are pretty rare. I've only had 3 and I've done a fair bit of racing. It still puzzles me why Trials drops 310+ exotics but the raid doesn't.
-
1 ReplyBecause there are people who can't participate in those activities/.. Get over yourself.
-
2 RepliesBecause people will bitch if it doesn't drop 320 loot. They're crybabies, but it will happen
