tell me something that isn't broken about sun breaker!? its ridiculous, there is no subclass that can compete. think about hammer of sol vs golden gun, golden gun without being shot lasts about 11 seconds, and you only have three shots. and sun breaker lasts about 26 seconds without being used, and it can throw 7 hammers or whatever! and it has a HUGE blast radius, where as golden gun you must be accurate. don't even say that its the only good thing about the class. sun breaker has great grenades, and amazing melee. lets compare it again to gunslinger, gunslinger has good grenades, a good melee, and a good super. sun breakers has good grenades, a good melee, and a broken and stupid super! my case sleeps. prove me wrong!

24 RepliesI think it's funny how the class with a one hit melee and a one hit grenade that doesn't have to stick are complaining about another class that only has its super going for it. Gg is better then sunbreaker at range. You get up close to ANY SUPER, then expect to get killed. And try running blade dancer with max armor. It takes two hammers instead of one. Your welcome.
filthy casuals trying to have bungie fight you're battles.
Ironic how the title is for salty titans and yet you've proven to be the saltiest with this post
-
1 ReplyWe warlocks are also smart enough like the Titans to know the rest of their subclass is shit in PVP. We all know the health regen being so speedy is cheap and that otherwise we can take down a sunbreaker with ease. It's apparently the salty hunters who don't know how to jump to avoid hammers even though they also have evade...

The sunbreakers giant testicles aren't broken! You can generally find them resting on a hunter's chin.

Stop crying like a bitch

Hunter alert

Edited by Grand Poobah: 12/3/2015 12:17:13 AMThey just need to make them one shot with snipers and lower the area of effect

2 RepliesThey nerf it I'll have reason to use striker again with armamentarium... HA!
-
I've said it before and am gunna say it again, I thought hunters and warlocks was still going to rule crucible, if I remember people was saying they can have their stupid hammers well still rule...how's that going :)
-
My favorite thing to do to hammers is to throw a sticky grenade on him while in mid air and punch him after it explodes. :) works every time.
well almost
5 RepliesTypical, whining hunter.
-
1 ReplyAs a sunbreaker I can agree it has its flaws the biggest thing being the melee burn, it last for -blam!-ing ever. But a sunbreaker can be taken on if done correctly

Edited by RusulkaCthulhu: 12/2/2015 9:54:30 PMI main a warlock and I have no problem taking out a HOS with any of my subclasses. Given it is harder to take them out with sunsinger compared to the others but I've still taken my fair share out while during Radiance. I do think that some classes need some reworking, as in armor increasing while in their super, and I'm not talking warlocks. I take out gunslingers like they are weaker while in their super, I know they aren't weaker, just saying it's really easy. Just so people know, here are my main subclasses for that character: Warlock-sunsinger Hunter - bladedancer Titan - striker

the titan punch is horrible trust me I would know do u even use sunbreaker

2 RepliesAn amazing melee
-
Accurate with golden gun? Dude the gun aims for you.
-
1 ReplyI main hunter and I do believe they need a nerf just not a major one. Yes they are annoying but all they need is a little armor nerf to be equal with the wandering supers ( excluding gg) because a Titian surviving a direct impact from truth where bladedancer can't is bs. Other than that nothing else need to be nerfed. This would make more people happy and won't screw pve over

10 RepliesJust don't like The cauterize perk. I can't stand getting a Titans health down only to see it regen b/c he kill my teammate.
-
3 RepliesBlast Radius should damage Titans too. I mean a Nova Bomb hurts the Warlock. So why not an upclose exploding hammer?
-
golden gun you must be accurate
-
1 ReplySunbreaker is OP and should be nerfed and I play one. However completely disagree with you on the grenades. I find them the least effective grenades out there.
-
How bout all the salty hunters screaming nerf?
read the title only
4 RepliesI'm a Titan and I said sum breaker is way 2 op. Tracking, invincibility and 7 hammers is crazy
-
6 RepliesI found something that works though only in limited situations. I was running Mayhem Rumble yesterday to get my Sunsinger emblem's final quest step completed. (It's to get multiple kills during each radiance use.) I main Warlock with a mostly full armor and recovery stat build and agility is only one step from lowest. I was on the Dungeons map by the heavy ammo spawn in the basement and activated my super due to a few opponents in the area. Then I heard it. The hammer. I saw the hammer go by my field of vision left to right and saw the kill feed. One down. I said -blam!- it. I charged in coated in the power of the sun and bearing Claws of Ahamkara. I charged like a maniac and struck him with scorch. I saw his shield disappear. The whole thing! My flame shield activated and a hammer came down. "Oh, shit!" I thought. But to my surprise I did not die. I lived! I struck again with newfound confidence and was victorious. I had my flame shield back and was on to find my next victim. It was glorious. I never used Sunsinger much but I just might for Mayhem Rumble with that experience behind me. Best part was that it happened at least 3 times and each one felt better than the last. It became a hunt. The only point of me using my super was to see how salty the enemy could become.

Common miss conceptions about Sunbreakers. Firstly, why does anyone have a problem with 26.5+ seconds WITHOUT EVER THROWING A HAMMER. That's a lot of time wasted no getting the super back. Secondly, to be able to throw 7 Hammers you have to spam throw them WHILE STANDING STILL. Then the super lasts 8 seconds. Thirdly, when you die from what seems like a missed hammer. There are 2 perk that boost explosions bigger explosions then you realize. Furthermore the damage reduction on Sunbreaker does need to be reduced to 45%. It's very over powered to have a 55% damage reduction and over shield. If you use use fleet fire you're wasting your time. The tracking hammer perk boosts your agility all the time not just from kills. Therefore Sunbreakers have only one neutral game perk at the cost of giving up using your super for more grenades and melee energy. FYI if a Sunbreaker punches you to death you deserve it because we Titans have a 4ft range verses every other class that has longer melee range.
Now about Gunslingers to put them on par with Sunbreakers. You have 3-4 GG shots. You also have neutral game perks. If you're not using the exotic to get 4 GG shot when level advantage is disabled that's on you. If you want 5 GG shots give up all neutral game perks. You can keep one knife but give up the second one. You also add bullet travel time instead of instant kills. Does it really seem worth it?
Now I'm a Titan and not afraid to admit it. But I'd take and do use on my Hunter the 3-4 GG shots and neutral game perks over having 5 usable hammers and Zero neutral game perks. The only neutral game perk Sunbreakers have is useful only in PvE. I prefer running Striker and Defender in PvP anyways. With shotgun range getting nerfed, shoulder charging everyone with Pristine Greaves is fun again. It's still risk/reward. It's a lot better then when shotguns out range your shoulder charge. You're just cannon fodder currently.
