Solution to "Touch of Malice required for Kingsfall hard mode"
In order to DPS Oryx on had mode, many require 5/6 members to have the Touch of Malice while Bungie released a gun that could serve the same purpose. Why not use the No Time to Explain puns rife? The exotic perk allows precision shots to return a shot to the magazine, so as long as your hitting Oryx's weak spot it should work just like Touch of Malice.
Will this work?

1. Oryx's chest is non-precision dmg. 2. Get ToM. 3. You only need to do normal once, solo the quest missions, and collect fragments, taking max 2 hours to find all fragments if you use a guide.

You're not hitting "crits" on oryx, in ANY part of the fight...so Malice is still the King of the raid arsenal. The NTtE doesn't compare in DPS anyway..

If your light level was really high yes because you can prob clear ogres and echo but for now ToM is BoL way is by far the easiest way to do it

First of all, Oryx's heart thingy that you shoot isn't precision, so you'd still need to reload. Second of all, touch of malice has infinite double damage rounds at the bottom of the magazine Third of all, the reason touch of malice works so well on daughters and Oryx, is because you literally cannot lose any health while in the Aura of [b]Immortality.[/b] AKA you would shoot neverending double damage rounds from the bottom of the mag without losing any health, thus doing absolutely insane DPS to which NOTHING else can compare.

The Touch of Malice isn't RNG related. It has a clear quest to get it. If someone doesn't have it, it's their own fault.

The reason touch is important is because of dps not unlimited ammo. Not to mention Oryx doesn't have a crit.

I have malice but three of my team were using other guns like the raid scout but i was using the nirwen mercy cause of sleeper so it Dosent depend if the whole team must have the gun it depends on the dmg of the gun rng gives u #RNG

3 RepliesNTTE is, oddly, harder to get than ToM due to the quest only being randomly available. The Paradox mission has to be the daily for you to start it. The quest for ToM is always available. Just grab some fragments and talk to Eris. Oh and as others have said Oryx doesn't have a crit spot so it won't work. Also ToM does double damage on the last round at the cost of the user's life and the last round regenerates. So inside the invicibility bubble it's a full auto double damage primary. That's what makes it so potent in the raid. But that's the only place it really shines, outside of that it's a mediocre scout rifle.
