Solution to "Touch of Malice required for Kingsfall hard mode"
In order to DPS Oryx on had mode, many require 5/6 members to have the Touch of Malice while Bungie released a gun that could serve the same purpose. Why not use the No Time to Explain puns rife? The exotic perk allows precision shots to return a shot to the magazine, so as long as your hitting Oryx's weak spot it should work just like Touch of Malice.

ToM is fairly easy to get. I'm in the middle of getting the Calcified Fragments so I've just been trying to get Wormsinger Runes on the Dreadnought. I have all the CF in the Dreadnought that don't require you to do something.

When you hit oryx, it's all white damage And Tom gives a damage bonus for each shot fired that steals your hp

Touch of Malice is so easy to obtain. That was intended. The most OP gun for the raid should be within every players means. Unlike the GHorn required dilemma from year1 there is a definitive path to getting the ToM and if you follow the countless threads and guides it shouldn't take you more than a couple days or a handful of gameplay hours (maybe 10hors total for a casual...) What is the excuse for not having it??

No. Oryx's heart isn't a critical hit, so NTTE won't refill your magazine.

No, but I use no time to explain for everything except Oryx. He does not have a crit spot. I love it for ogres, knights etc..., even war priest, sisters, and golgroth.

I swear if They Nerf ToM I'll quit. Tom is the best weapon or Daughters and oryx. Anyone can get ToM. ToM is not a grind at all.

1 ReplyIt is not about using it. It is about proving that you know how to play the game. I don't even use ToM unless I am running relic. It doesn't do enough damage to take down the ogres.

No time to explain requires crit hits, oryx chest isn't consists crit, = won't work

even if it was a precision DPS point that refilled your ammo, you wouldnt be getting the damage buff that ToM gives.

1. Oryx's chest is non-precision dmg. 2. Get ToM. 3. You only need to do normal once, solo the quest missions, and collect fragments, taking max 2 hours to find all fragments if you use a guide.
