Solution to "Touch of Malice required for Kingsfall hard mode"
In order to DPS Oryx on had mode, many require 5/6 members to have the Touch of Malice while Bungie released a gun that could serve the same purpose. Why not use the No Time to Explain puns rife? The exotic perk allows precision shots to return a shot to the magazine, so as long as your hitting Oryx's weak spot it should work just like Touch of Malice.

If that were the case everyone would be using Spindle instead. His chest isn't a precision spot.

1 ReplyIf you're 290+ and haven't leveled a sniper you don't care to complete normal mode. If 300+ and have completed normal and you don't have ToM you don't care to complete hard mode. It's that simple.

You also need critical hits to make No Time To Explain work, and Oryx doesn't have a critical hit spot. If you want to run the Hard Raid than run it on normal, spend an hour or two getting the calcified fragments and get the weapon. [b][u]Touch Of Malice is literally avaliable to anyone who wants it! [/u][/b]The criteria is incredibly easy, it take little skill to get and just requires a some time.

Oryx's chest isn't a critical area so it won't work. TOM is so easy to get... Idk why ppl don't have it yet.

Oryx's taken spot doesn't count as precision hits.

3 RepliesIt would be fine for sisters but you can't crit Oryx. For me no time to explain was just as annoying to get as Tom. You just need to set aside one night dedicated to figuring out which fragments you need and just do it. It's not that bad once you get going.

I have a solution. Get the ToM. If you are going into Hard mode, you have had more than enough time to get the fragments for ToM. If you are going into hard without even doing normal, there's no hope for you.

Oryx has no weak spot it doesn't do crit damage plus be able to do continuos damage isn't the problem the point is with the final round touch of malice does close to the same damage of a low impact sniper while having the rate of fire of a high impact auto rifle

Tether doesn't affect him either so NTTE doesn't work on oryx unless you're on ogre duty, but snipers and QT work better

The comments in here are exactly what's wrong with this terrible community. Instead of simply saying it's not a critical hit zone, just the only zone you can damage, everyone insults him.
