SHUT THE DOORS BUNGIE!
Dear Bungie,
You absolutely suck. Your version of an epic quest is terrible at best. Do the gaming community a favor and just shut down immediately . Close the doors and walk away. EQ1 (1999, that is 16 freakin years ago Bungie) had better quest lines. Is this a joke? Are you really proud of your product? Let me wrap up TTK for you real quick. You built a new zone, you scattered a bunch of fragments around and gave us a raid that can be run in an hour. I'm waiting for the punchline Bungie.
$60 for Vanilla, $40 for the first 2 expos and $40 for TTK. Good for you for keeping us all on the hook. Your marketing is fantastic, they all should be praised. You managed to squeeze $140 (minimum) out of all of us on a game that while very fun to play has about as much content as a bag of Lay's from a vending machine. (You open that bag and there's like 5 chips in there....we've all been there)
Now I'll be the first to say I enjoy playing but after 2 weeks, there is absolutely nothing left to do. I get that the Hard Raid will drop but let's be fair, how long will that take to crack? I keep coming back because I think things will change, they will be better "this time". Well someone smart once said that a tiger don't change his stripes. Bungie, you are that tiger.

But they are Not in the game :( Stop holding back Bungie, I'd like to play more to get some things I'm missing but you won't release them yet. So until you do or until the new IB comes out, I'm taking a break from destiny.

1 ReplyI've been bored out of my mind and tired of the shower (rinse and repeat) aspect of this game development. Must have been because i kinda expected what swg gave me years ago.. Mmos, blah we need to treat this game as a fps fantasy more then an mmo. Which is what i kinda was hoping it'd become. Ignore me i dunno what i'm saying i'll be on mgo cqcing someone or humping a wall.

Low budget? Programming? Hardware? Anyway, the game has a solid core with great gunplay and smooth pace. The whole story could use a lot of work, servers, error codes, PvP lag is just not that good now. Adressing all new "COOL" features that are coming with a new currency that we can use to buy emotes. And let's face it, Iron Banner will still be the same grind after gear only harder to buy so we must play a little longer until next time IB arrives. If only Bungie could fix the problems in the game now instead. That would be awesome. I do remember Bungie saying that they made Destiny easy for them to create new stuff in the game for us. So then what is the problem? I believe more of the community should drop the mic for a game changer in Destiny. But until the big stars on Twitch and Youtube will say I'm bored with Destiny, things will stay the same. And right about then, they will get a private invite to Bungie office and playtest the new "improved" upcoming DLC. And then story repeats. I will continue to hope for a bright future for Destiny, and play too. Until I find a good replacement game.

1 ReplyDamn. This really made me reevaluate purchasing a product made out of artistic expression while under restriction of technology and the player base. I'm really also confused now, why my $100 initial purchase, and my $60 additional purpose, was wasted on something to waste nearly 2000 hours of time according to my xbox. I don't know, now. 160 bucks for 2000 hours of meeting new people online, search for all the pieces and easter eggs, having work buddies get together and take on nightfalls and raids, god damn, I should've just done drugs and spent hundreds of dollars on guns and golf gear to use. I mean, who wants to stay home with family anyway? Why did I buy a house? I should definitely speak to bungie about this. They've ruined my life and all I got was a damn exotic weapon. I'm entitled and bratty, and dammit, if I want ketcup on my mac and cheese, bungie better be hammering some tomatoes and prepping the vinegar.
