Why people are FREQUENTLY leaving strikes
The sole reason people are leavings strikes even though Bungie has put in this stupid "Vanguard Streak" bonus is simple, no one wants to do half the strikes in the damn playlist over and over. I would do a poll for which is the most hated strike in that shit playlist but we all know that when Undying Mind comes up, there's no way in hell I'm doing that stupid strike. Here's the issue, Bungie thought it okay to make a playlist with Exclusive and DLC stirkes. This has completely backfired and now you have more players leaving than staying because most these strikes suck ass and you get them over and over due to it being a limited number of strikes to do. What Bungie should've done was put all the -blam!-ing strikes in the rotation and not just the shitty few DLC and exclusive strikes because in my personal opinion I'm sick and tired of seeing Undying Mind.
Edit 1: Okay so I went to sleep last night and woke up to a notification bar full of replies wow. Um, well keep em'coming then.
Edit 2: Wow surprised by all the replies guys. Well let's try and get the attention of Bungie now.
[spoiler]I literally tried to a regular Vanguard Strike playlist and got Undying Mind 3 -blam!-ing times in a row with 3 different fireteams. [/spoiler]

2 RepliesHonestly, the rotation is just fine in my opinion. Sure sometimes it's the same strike two or three times in a row, but admit it, with the changes implemented, it may be the same strike but totally different enemies and positioning every time. Maybe I have a higher tolerance than most, but I don't ever get bored of the strikes after Taken King anymore.

I've played Undying Mind more times since TTK than I have in the 10 months it's been available. The weights need to be levied. I haven't seen the Nexus or Phogoth in several months but the DLC strikes are shoved down our throats lie they're [u]that[/u] good or relevant.

1 ReplyI hate it when the same strike pops two, three, four times in a row. Like -blam!-! It would be simple enough for them to add in some code that will eliminate a strike from the players once it is completed, then cycle through all the strikes until all are completed then refresh the list. BUNGIE! COZMO! DEEJ! Someone please read and implement this! It's way to -blam!-ing simple to ignore, and honestly, bungie has no excuse for not making it this way in the first place. Whoever in bungie said, "let's just pull from the strike list at random" without thinking of the possibility of repeated strikes is an idiot.

They will put them all in, in the next update they just wanted you to get a feel for the new strikes and show how the taken mechanic work, and to me undying mind isn't bad just when fresh troops and taken kick in it gets a little overwhelming is all hahaha. Like I've never appreciated primary ammo until doing these new strikes they make the challenge worth it! I've only obtained a streak of about 6 now due to people leaving, etc, but I can honestly say I get about 2 legendary engrams per match in average one being the drop from the boss. Sadly no exotic yet but that's becuase I don't have threes of coins. But I've gotten all my legend gear from R NG drops and have enough to dismantle for extra marks, like the Playlist over all but it would be nice to see the taken mechanic in the older strikes like omnigul amd septis prime. To be honest, the only time I bail on a strike is if I've played it several times already that day, though I currently am making an exception for Fallen S.A.B.E.R. and getting the heck outta there upon landing since it isn't worth the hassle of guarding a Warsat and dying repeatedly from swarms of Taken. Whoever designed that strike was a pure sadist.

1 ReplyWhen someone bails just make it so a replacement spawns in somewhat quickly. To many times I could never get a third member back in. Can be very irritating on the harder heroics ( which don't seem to be much benefit over lev36 most of the time anyway... But I could be wrong).

3 RepliesYou're absolutely right. Bungie needs to get on the ball with addressing this. We need more variety in the strikes, and we need less repeats. That said....perhaps you can do other players a huge favor until Bungie fixes this. Stay out of the Heroic playlist. You're not doing anyone, including yourselves, any good by dropping out. Seriously, if these issues bother you so much, just stay out. I say this in as non-confrontational a way as I can. Not trying to start an argument. I just don't see why, with all these problems, you would continue to play the Heroic playlist.

Only time I drop out during a strike is if either I'm called away to deal with something at home or if during a strike I'm left in it alone. But there needs to be more variety and rotation. I would love to do Omnigul or Sepiks on heroic, was actually surprised they never redid the Sepiks strike given that area is crawling with taken during the early missions.

I'm going to jump right in saying I don't dislike any of the strikes, sure I like some more than others, I enjoy them all in their own way. That said after seeing the same one launching for the fourth time after already playing it through damn right I'm leaving and restarting and will continue to do so until rotation is favourable. Map rotation is all that is really needed not random playlists.

ALL strikes in rotation would be awesome, especially since there is quite a few now. Also, having a vote screen would be pretty damn nice.

Yeah, more year one strikes should be in the playlist just for variety's sake. I for one don't care, I think they're all pretty easy - but it would be nice if I didn't have to solo or two man all of them.
