Who misses Gjallarhorn now?
In my opinion the games is far better without the Gjallahorn in it.
Boss fights have to be worked at and are far more fun. I find myself using a variety of weapons instead of just Fatebringer, Found Verdict/Blackhammer and Gjallahorn.
The game is much more fun without them.
Thoughts?

If only we had one with our current attack power level. I wonder how powerful that would be.

I am enjoying all of new weapons, my load outs are constantly changing. I haven't fired the G-horn since TTK dropped. I have actually reverted back to HMG.

It took me almost a year to get my gally. So I still keep it with my character to make myself feel better.

I agree. While I'll always remember showing Crota who really runs shit with that wolf-crested, Traveller-blessed, death tube, the games balance has been definitely improved. It's nice to see people carry the load out they like now, no longer the one that is expected of them. :)

I miss it. I would still use fate-hammer-horn if I could. I don't care about new weapons. I care about winning as fast as possible.

Gjallahorn is awesome and is still awesome boss fights are not more fun they just take Fuçking forever to do that is not fun some of us have lives

1 ReplyBut now we have raze lighter. Aside from the up close combat its twice as powerful. Public event on dreadnaught are nothing since getting the sword its either 1,2 or three hits and dead. Everyone attacki g with sword the game just becomes pointless lol

1 ReplyAgreed. I used it a couple times in Y2 early in to help with daily missions, but it just bring your light level down to low. The one gun I seem to use a lot now is Supercell. That chained lightning just eats up adds and the Taken. Only time I don't really use it is in PvP. Supercell is the Gjallarhorn of primaries for me.

Nope don't miss the guardian killer at all too unpredictable especially in a fireteam, bloody bubbles and shoulders.

First off, kudos to Bungie for improving boss fights to where we don't need Gjally to burn down bullet sponges. That has a lot to do with it. Next, it's absence does a lot to give other heavy weapons their moment in the sun. I just got me a Year 2 Thunderlord and I'm loving it.

Saw a guy still trying to use it in late game content and the laughably low damage it does. 3 rockets to bring down a 41 major knight!
