Why? Im going to ask you the same exact question. Why not?
Why did they nerf Ghally, Ice Breaker and Black Hammer? Oh, but they did what the community wanted with TLW and Thorn by nerfing them? But why nerf Ghally and them? We didn't ask for those to be nerfed. Let me let you in on a little secret:
Thorn and TLW weren't nerfed because we WANTED them to be nerfed. They were nerfed because of the same reason Ice Breaker, Ghally and Black Hammer were being nerfed.
And what reason is that, Slayin?
Hey, you heard about that new dlc coming out? Yeah yeah yeah, the one thats expensive as -blam!-? Wait, your not buying it because its expensive? What about the raid? The new maps? The new level cap perhaps?
You don't care? But... what about the weapons? Oh, you still don't care... but why?

Because you already like the weapons you currently own? Well guess what?
Thats why Bungie are nerfing them.

We just asked for thorn and tlw nerfs but what do you do? You also nerf IceB, BlackH, and Ghorn. Why? If they were OP like you proclaim, why not patch them in 1.0? I'll tell you why, because it wasn't near the TTK release.
Guess what Bungie. We all know that the "requirement in raid" arguement you brought up is BS. Nobody does that anymore and if they do, the amount had decreased since launch. With that being said. If you really listen to the community do what they ask you (Keep TLW, Thorn, and AR patches) and don't do what we didn't ask for (unerf ghally, IB, and BH).

3 RepliesIf "raid requirement" was really the reason for nerfing Gally, wouldn't the more simple solution have been for Xur to sell it? That would eliminate the elitist requirements.

Chill. Let TTK happen there's more changes none of us have any way of knowing about...nor do we know the actual consequences or feel of the weapon tuning. Everyone is passing definitive judgement way too fast it's 2 months away... Let the dust settle. Let the reviews happen. Then make a decision. Til then, chill

Side note.... Deej said part of "THE END GAME CHALLENGE is finding a group " So group A says "we require items a, b, c and d. Group B says "we want u, d, r and w." Group C says "we want x, y, z and q." So because they cry that none of the groups want them Bungie nerfs the weapons being required. Or... Bungie said we need to nerf the top used weapons to make TTK weapons worthwhile. You pick which answer you like. Either one is WRONG in my mind. Just here to help stop gamers from buying anymore from Bungie.

This would seem to be an even cheaper (and more simplistic) solution haha. Long live bungie and this asshat of a game

This is true. Like, really, why do this NOW? The reasons they gave us are weak. People left out of groups? That was a problem when solar burn was on in skolas. It is not a problem anymore because burns were removed. People did do it for crota, but that was probably because they already had players WITHOUT a ghorn. Are we here to sit and believe that many groups require 6 ghorns to down crota? Please. Groups looking for ghorns were already giving non ghorn players a chance. THAT'S they needed players with ghorns. If we use bungie logic, why not nerf the level cap? Why not eliminate levels? I remember when players would post "only 32 please" when they were looking for raid groups, even though you don't really need to have six 32s to beat crota's end in hard. Why didn't you nerf it, bungie? That would have created more problema, just like these nerfs will create more problem. Do you really think groups will look for fewer ghorns players? It's the opposite. They will look for even more ghorn players! And if that's the logic for ghorn, what is the logic for IB and BH nerfs? I don't even want to start on this.

1 ReplyGjallerhorn...well to be frank, the Elitist 'Must have Gally' Jackasses didn't help. TLW and Thorn needed fixing- but believe it or not, I haven't seen much Icebreaker in PVP. Felwinter need's fixing, as a long range shotgun? WTAF? Blackhammer though..can anyone explain the problem as I have LITERALLY never seen one in PVP. I kid you not.

1 ReplyIf they actually gave a shit about sales now bungie would have never touched gjallarhorn until after taken King and using the I sunk hundreds of hours to get my Gally, IB, or BH is the same as saying it about any gun why not use them for a change I mean you must have sunk hundreds of hours for your aetheons epilogue or song of ir yut.
