4 RepliesWould have been sweet if they just had bosses in patrol, like you have to get a fire team of 3 go patrol a spot killing guys which will trigger a public event type spawn and when you beat that you you get "beamed" up into a fallen ketch or hive ship or teleported to a vex place and you fight a mini boss there, I think it would be fun and a lot more people would be roaming around patrol making it an actual "open world" game, right now the open world element is so minuscule it's crazy

2 RepliesYeah prison of elders kind of sucks. All the weapons look the exact same. All the gear looks stupid. Not enough variation in the objectives. And I was under the assumption that a VIP would be hard to kill. 2 gally rockets and he's donezo

yup. all the weapons suck and armor looks stupid af as well, have 9 etheric from trials so dont need that either. got my 2 ciphers done and dont need dregs promise so were all done here.

The biggest thing I'm getting out of PoE right now is getting EL and going back to VoG to get duplicates of real weapons.

Everything PvE except VoG and sparrow glitching into walls will always be boring to me. Crucible is where I've always spent my time.

I have to agree, the fact that the Prison of Elders is full of bullet sponges means that the whole thing is just a grindfest. Not fun at all, with very little reward against huge timesink and risk

4 RepliesYep. Only doing the 34's for the Etheric Light. Boring as hell with terrible rewards on 35. Beat Skolas 3 times, got my 3 exotic bounties and never went back. Got all the non burn primaries and they are all trash. Burn damage ain't gonna make them that much better.

Honestly I'm to the point where I only did PoR because it offered etheric light but now I have a good amount where I might use 1 a week for a weapon. I get my 3 from ToO each week which is much more entertaining than PoE.

I still don't understand why they didn't just do a 50 round Horde mode like in Gears. They tried to design it as a means of attaining new weapons and gear, but it should have just been a fun game mode regardless of the rewards. After the first couple weeks, everyone has all the gear they need. Then, we just want something fun to play.

The shooting is fun, the guns are fun, I can spend hours running around doing nothing but shooting aliens and be pretty happy with the experience. So I'm not bored with the game, and it's definitely better when you're running around shooting aliens with friends, chatting and shooting the breeze while you bust heads. On the other hand, Prison of Elders is a grind. The purest of grinds, really, and Destiny is already so full of completely transparent "we did this so you'd have to play longer" grinding. I have yet to beat Skolas, and I [i]will[/i] do it one of these days just so I can say it's done. And I will still run PoE, because as I said I do it with friends and that does make it better, and I'm just in it for etheric light to upgrade random bits of whatever I feel like upgrading. But man, the Prison itself is monotony. I'd much rather run the Vault over and over.

Went flawless twice, already got more loot than 15+ PoE runs.. That's why I'm not wasting time for Skolas

After you do it like 5 times its boring af. I thought this was gonna be some awesome horde mode but nope bungie at it again

I'm just doing it to get a full set of armor, I haven't had shit drop for exotics and when I did it was only on level 28 (I had others in my clan experience this too). As much as I like the POE hand cannon i got for a fragment there's no real reason to go thru the grind and lv35 offers no good items.
