Beta and Day 1. Not quite yet. Price and the bundling isn't a problem - it is pretty standard for offers of that kind to appear at this time in a games cycle. Players who have resisted so far are not going to suddenly jump on board if they are still faced with a full price game. To get new users in they have to make them an enticing offer. And if you are a "collector" you pay will pay collector prices. Plenty of people out there with good incomes and a taste for collectibles. If I do buy I will buy the bare bones digital edition, and not be too stressed. I bought the limited edition and haven't looked at any of that bonus stuff since I put the disk in and "Early Access" to the vanguard armory was next to useless. The only thing that interests me now is the content offering. Until we get a clear picture on the size and nature of the expansion I will not be making any decisions. Dark Below as an OK offering, but I feel no special affection for it beyond the very useful Black Hammer. HoW has been kind of disappointing. PoE isn't really that much fun for me. It has quickly become like Nightfalls - just another job. Weapons are not that inspiring, Re-Roll is just another way for RNG to screw with you. And getting endlessly fired at by Captains with Shrapnel Launchers and Scorch Cannons while on patrol is just irritating. Thankfully we still have mars. I can see the edge, but I am still on the top side. Three months is a long time though. Plenty of time for Bungie to show us something real. Plenty of time for me to move on if they are not willing to offer anything concrete.

I've been on Bungie's side since I finished the fight in '08 and I even preordered and bought the Limited Edition of Density for my 360. When I finally upgraded to the Xbox Fun, I didn't wanna go to GameStop and ask for a standard copy as a trade in for the 360 version of Density, so I kept it. I own a copy for both consoles. When the Beta hit, I actually paid attention to the workings of the game to see what would hinder it (like the rapid fire Interceptors, for example) and even went as far as to frame the poster I got when I pre-ordered Density and buy some shirts of it. What I'm saying is that I was a goddam follower of this game. I played it for so long and invested a gnarly amount of time into this. When [u]The Dank Below[/u] came out, I withstood the outrage, telling friends and other players online 'it's Bungie's first time doing a game like this, cut them some slack. They can't hit the nail on the head all of the time,' by February (or some time around there), when they announced that the [u]House of Wolves[/u] was getting pushed back to May, I told those friends 'see? They're listening! They refining it and adding a lot of cool things!' By mid-March, I was getting bored of it for the first time. I was so hit by the sudden disinterest I started up a Titan (I had a bunch of armour for one anyway) and all was well. Then [u]House of Wolves[/u] hit and it gave me the feeling of seeing a dying and empty community being reinvigorated and brought back from the dark corners of time. Some had a blast, others were protesting because Prison of Elders wasn't an equal replacement for a Raid. Point is, the game got some juice back. Naturally, a majority of the community exhausted the new stuff in two weeks time and all returned to normal, but with differences and upgrades that actually kept me believing in the game's future. Now here I am, reading up on The Taken King and all of its new features and how it is essentially everything that could have been. '[b]There's a special digital download for the loyal Year 1 fans,[/b] says the description for the ones that are rightfully deemed as Year 1 players, '[b]for $40, you will expand on your legend and discover new powers and ancient evils.'[/b] Then I kept reading on the other editions. Now, I know how depreciation works. Video games and cars are just about on par when it comes to stuff like that, but when you're 1 for 2 on what you've shown versus reality and you pull something like this, it's gonna get messy, you will see shit hit the fan. I'm sure as Hell not the only one that feels backstabbed. For the first time since I've played Destiny, I am gonna complain (and bitch and moan, for the ones that think they're so high and mighty), because this isn't right. [spoiler]And to the ones that will say 'you entitled prick,' let me just say this: My whole time playing Density up to this point was well-spent. I didn't think I was entitled to anything. The only thing I ever had a problem with was finding a group to Raid with or run PoE with. But with this, I just don't get why they'll pull something like this and expect the vets to pay for something that shouldn't be priced that high.[/spoiler] [spoiler]TL;DR: for lack of better words, my eyes have been opened. Destiny, to me at least, will always be that girlfriend that you know you shouldn't mess with but you're going to anyway. It's a great time when lasts, but you always finish up and think to yourself was the ride worth the headache.

1. I have money 2. Don't care at all about trinkets or digital extras 3. Couldn't careless about the corruption of some idealistic version of the videogame industry. Here's my cash, will this entertain me for a while. Yes? Awesome. Thanks!

No new enemies No new raid (how raid we paid for already) No new planets I don't know how much longer I can keep this up.. I love this game but this is embarrassing

It's 40 quid for a new game. Get over it and play the game. FFS a family outing to McDonalds cost more.

I was so disgusted with the news that I immediately made a life decision to stop playing Destiny over those astronomical prices they are expecting. I almost came on the forums to discuss with others how much this effects my life. The pure shock off the prices they are MAKING us pay are ridiculous. How could they do such a thing to our game, I cant even keep something like this to myself any longer so I must tell everybody how much of a self entitled fgt I am.

My whole clan decided last night that we are done. It really was a slap in the face to all of us day 1 players and to add to it the "positive" changes to the skolas fight to make it less of a grind? Yeah right. It's more difficult, not impossible, more difficult but there is no real reward for it. Just more examples of Bungie as a whole not thinking about the players and focusing on the bottom line and how the game should be bought and played their way.

We buy: Destiny- $60 Tdb- $20 How- $20 Ttk- $40 Destiny vets pay: $140 New players: Destiny+ Tdb+ How+ Ttk Total-$60 How does that make any sense?!?! We paid way way more than them for the same content. They just basically said how worthless their past content is by selling it all for $20. Pretty bs if you ask me.

Week 2 player. Well my legend ends with HoW. i might come back next year by getting a similar deal on all the year 2 DLC's + expansion.

Still play on my 360 not bothered getting destiny for the one yet. Guess I'll wait and get the bundle :/
