Helping build the Spire on Venus
When I'm doing the patrol bounties on Venus I like to ride by the VoG and help open the Vault. I like jumping on the pillar at the center sync plate and saluting the guardians as they enter. Does anyone else do this?

I rarely travel to venus but I did help out once when I saw the message on bottom of my screen say the vex taken control of a plate, i knew they needed some extra help.

On the other hand, I was running VoG this morning and we had 3 loaded in and a fourth on the way. We lost the guy holding the bottom plate when all of a sudden a guy with his level in blue ran up, killed the praetorian and went for the revive. It was awesome.

I've done this before, except all 6 of those exos stood in formation and saluted [i]me[/i] I bowed back.

That's so nice of you! I've never thought to do that. I always felt like I'd be intruding and all the kids would be like "GO AWAY" but there have definitely been times where my friends and I were trying to 3/4 man the spire and were struggling and didn't have anyone on wanting to do it with us. Every time we struggled like that I'd always wish someone patrolling would help us hahaha. You are a good person! Thumbs up to you :-)

While I was doing it Saturday, a lvl 24 decided to stop by, wasn't affective but nice to see some other life form :D

Oh I do it each time I am back there running patrols. Last time the guys invited me along and I got The Last Word from the Gorgon chest so that was cool. Unfortunately we did not finish as 3 guys had to leave after we could not take down Atheon after a few attempts but was still fun

I like doing this ESP when I want to explore the back room to the Templar by myself. I know I can glitch in but getting in helping a group sounds better

I've only stumbled across this once while doing the daily gate lord mission. A group of 26-30s that were having all sorts of problems. Did my good Samaritan thing and jumped on the central pillar with my VoC, sniping whatever moved. Sadly, they were one of those groups that didn't acknowledge the aid given. Not the reason I did it of course. Just sad to see people who don't appreciate the kindness of strangers

Every once awhile. One time a patrol mission lead me there and there was someone trying to solo it at level 26.

I helped kill Praetorians, mooks, and revived the entire fireteam at least once before we built the spire. I stood at the door to watch them enter and they all blew by me without so much as a wave of acknowledgement. That was the last time I did it.
