I had a friend in high school that was colorblind. If he played this game I'm sure this news would make him happy too.

I'm not colorblind, but when I heard that Bungie was adding colorblind assist to Destiny I looked up the screenshots they shared. The difference it made is great. I have a colorblind friend and cannot tell you how many times he has told me that colorblind assist is needed he complained about it constantly and especially throughout a nightfall.

After I saw the picture of what the 3 burn types looked like with colorblind mode I couldn't believe it. This makes me really happy.

I'm color blind and LOVE the changes we have coming! I'll finally be able to tell the difference between arc and void, and actually see my radar the way they intended me to see it! Great job Bungie!

I am one of the many who are primary colour blind and normal colour sighted people piss me off. For example in my work I have to set proxy switches which are red off green on. I struggle seeing the colours. I get round this by asking one of my colleges what colour the sensor is. Now. 99% of these a holes the first time laugh their asses off when I explain I'm colour blind. The next thing any normal vision a hole asks is. What colour is this? They will then point to something. Or they will ask what colour grass is?? Now. I have got used to this idiotic questioning. But. Would you walk up to somebody in a wheel chair and ask them is they can walk or punch them in the leg to see if they don't feel anything???? So give us colour blind peoples a break and thank you bungie!!

2 RepliesYet they say they put a lot of effort into making sure it was colorblind friendly prior to launch. Lol'd at that. Just like they did with the rest of the game!

1 ReplyTo actually be able to tell if an engram is purple or blue is nice. When I first played this game I didn't realize the captains and minotaur had different colored shields that meant the type of dmg that effected them. It wasn't until about three weeks of play when someone explained it lol. These changes are good and I never understand why they aren't built into games upon release. But yes very much happy for this change.

They are adding a colorblind mode!? Holy crap I might actually have a chance in the crucible! I still won't play it...but I would have a chance if I did.

For once I will be able to distinguish between a blue and a purple. And the useless grey box in the top left corner will have color in it for once

Definitely a good addition! I'm glad more newer games are adding modes like this. A lot of older games would do it but it seemed like the new ones don't give a rat's sash about us colorblind folk. Also diggin the music mute mode. Ruins the game for me

It's great, but it's kind of sad that it didn't ship with it. The community basically had to tell them to do it.
