HB 1747 would make it a crime of “disorderly conduct” for transgender people who have not been able to change the gender marker on their driver’s license or other ID to enter public restrooms corresponding with their gender identity.
HB 1748 would make it a Class A misdemeanor — punishable by up to one year in jail and a maximum $4,000 fine — for any person 13 years or older to use a restroom that does not match the “gender established at the individual’s birth or by the individual’s chromosomes.”
It would also make it a state jail felony — punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum $10,000 fine — for Texas building owners to allow any person seven years or older to use a restroom that does not fit his or her birth-assigned sex or chromosomes.
Why is this necessary, exactly? What a gross invasion on privacy. Just let people go to the bathroom in peace.

There definitely needs to be more trans rights, more support, all of that. But tumblrinas that invent a gender other than male or female should not be entertained.

Why would any dude not want to piss in a urinal? What difference does it make for the woman? You sit either way? Just go to your bathrooms so that people don't feel like weirded out like if there's a woman standing like right behind you you'd probably be kinda like uhh let me pee plz
not me doe I'm hung af
Why is legal recognition of gender necessary?

Good, men with mental disorders shouldn't be allowed to share a bathroom with girls.

Let's blow Texas off the face of the Earth

I don't blame Texas. With what happened at the school in Chicago (correct the city if I'm wrong) of the federal government threatening to cut school funding by 6 million dollars something needs to be done. It's ridiculous when we'd rather sacrifice thousands of students education for 1 child to use the ladies locker room. We need trans locker rooms and rest rooms to eliminate this issue. You can't force people to be ok with men who think their women using the women's room and vice versa. Just like you can't force trans to feel one way or another. Forcing people to accept things they can't bring themselves to accept will cause more problems. Yet here we have the government stepping in and dictating how we feel about all issues. Making cakes for gays, allowing a male student to use the women's locker room. These are things that can be easily fixed but instead the government is prosecuting us for our dislike of gays or trans. This will only get worse before it gets better if the government continues forcing gay and trans issues on people that don't agree. We no longer have freedom to choose our own lives. The government is dictating what we accept and what we don't. I support more states following. Texas. The trans and gay community has done their fighting. It's time we fight for what we believe is right and wrong.

Good for Texas.

1 ReplyGood, maybe they'll pass a law to deport all the trannies to California. That would make everyone help.
-
3 RepliesThey check IDs before people enter bathrooms now?

2 RepliesThink how many high school and college retards will just go into locker room to watch girls change. We can't trust human kind anymore, all a bunch of assholes who are almost all going to hell

Many of the responses here make me sad.

They have to pass bills like that. I'm not saying these are necessarily the right ones, but there need to be specific rules set when it comes to this. The whole transgender situation is really touchy. The male and female separation in public restrooms is there for some good reasons, and the transgender situation makes it difficult for those reasons to be upheld.
