Any advice on playing warlock?
Well my fellow guardians, it's time. I have mained a titan since beta. I grew three of them from nothing and like to think I titan pretty hard.
Over the past several weeks RNG has decided it wants me to make a warlock. I have obsidian mind, sun breakers, voidfang vestments, and legendary chest, helm, gauntlets, and boots.
No more excuses.
After I run the nightfall and weekly with one of my Titans tomorrow, I will say farewell to him and create a warlock.
Any advice about playstyle, builds, or general warlock badassery would be appreciated.
And remember, we are all in this together.

Remember to press jump again while in the air to end your glide. This is key in making glide fast and fluid. Warlocks have great recovery, and average armor and agility. Ensure to be mobile but you can take some damage if you find cover you will be back quicker than other classes. Great setups: Voidwalker: Obsidian Mind is the best exotic IMO I prefer splitting my nova bomb into 3 with tracking All the grenades are okay and really more your preference. Sunsinger: Best in PvE Use Fireborn radiance for Nightfalls and other high level content where it can save your team. Otherwise use Song of Flame when with a team or Radiant Skin when playing solo. Use solar grenades when you want to close areas off and hold an area. Use the fusion grenades on high level enemies (yellow bars) All the grenades are great. I prefer the Claws of Ahamkara as the double melee is awesome in PVP and most PvE, but I still don't have the Apothesis Veil which might be my favorite in the end. Those are the basics. There are some fun specific loadouts like Monte Carlo is great for warlocks as it refills your melee and warlocks have longer range melees that are very powerful. Just as with all characters look for armor that heals with orbs for Crota hard etc. Enjoy your new Warlock, soon it will be time for that Hunter too! You are missing out if you don't get to enjoy 1 of each. They all have great strengths in varied situations.

Perk wise I like to make mine balanced in the middle with armor, agility and recovery.

I run two Warlocks, 1 for each class, Voidwalker equip your Obsidian mind and get the bad juju bounty, a lot of fun! But my favorite is my Sunsinger, I have designed him as a pure melee, all his build focuses on strength, armour, he wears the claws that allow for an extra smack down and equips shotgun for close combat. Survivability is insane with flame shield activated and with self rez in back up, you cant go wrong. Chose sunburst when running with your fireteam and you are a constant supplier of orbs.

Also, GIFT OF THE SUN! Voidwalker tips: shatter grenade is better than you think, major dps! Don't use blink in PVE. And otherwise just go mad with whatever you fell works, this class is very versatile!

2 RespuestasOnly tip: Max voidwalker first. Relying on the crutch from sunsinger will turn you into a bad player. If you don't suck (I assume you don't), voidwalker will be infinitely more beneficial in the raid. Also, abuse the hell out of obsidian mind that shit is OP. If you can pair it with bad juju then even better. Good luck dude

Personally void walker is more "fun" but I find sun singer more useful. Self res is clearly a huge factor but I like the grenades better on sunsinger.

Get a Bad Juju to go with your Obsidian Mind, you'll be dropping nova bombs like mad. Also, don't be fooled in to thinking sun singer is PvE only and vice versa for void walker. If you have max discipline on sun singer, you can be extremely deadly with radiance in the crucible. Void walker can be great for PvP too, but with the options that the melee gives you it is better for PvE IMO, like speed boost for the thralls in CE. Playstyle wise, Warlocks are a little squishy compared to Titans, but have much better battle recovery, so try to always know where you can find cover.

I really enjoy using sunsinger for pvp too because you can one-hit-kill with grenades and radiance can protect you the most with 'radiance skin' perk. The exotic you use should be based obviously on availability and preference. Unlike hunter and titan there aren't really any clear best picks. I use four different exotics for different occasions. And there are others I'd like to get.

Dummies call Sunbreaker a "crutch", but really it's the Warlock version of the Defender Titan. There's a perk to give other players a stat boost while under radiance, and there's obviously self-revive, but most people don't know how to use the solar grenades. Solar grenades are a defensive tool. If a guardian goes down, you can push back enemies and give yourself room to revive them having two of them gives you a nice buffer in multiple directions). Also, if things are getting dank, you can fire up radiance and create a solar barrier around your team and let everyone down enemies w/o being swarmed. The other good use of radiance is to create orbs for other people. All of your kills under radiance create orbs, so if you time it right, you can be an orb-fountain for your teammates. Voidwalker speaks for itself. If you can't figure that out, well ... just quit. The only advice you might need is to use Nova + Obsidian to become a death machine. Kills with your super reload your super faster, and if you time it right (like in the abyss) you almost always have a super ready. Good luck, Titan.

Having mained a warlock since beta you should know all three classes are completely different they can technically all tank, all dps and provide support as i titan im sure you know that. Voidwalker you should think of as a mid range cannon, bad juju and obsidian mind no doubt one of the best combos for warlock especially with the buff coming soon to pulse rifles. However obsidian mind does great on its own if you drop 8 orbs you have your super again amazing helmet for voidwalker. Sunsinger sometimes gets a bad name for revive because you either play more reckless or hold on to that super till you die resulting in lack of orbs now without revive and the armor buff you are right on the front lines as a titan with radiance active and capable of flame shield and generating many orbs with each kill you get regardless of melee, gun, or grenade you get a kill you create orbs. In the end i hope you enjoy playing a warlock also might wanna give hunters a try blade dancer is a blast when you get the hang of there movement.

Once you get your Warlock to 20, throw in that Obsidian Mind and pair it with Bad JuJu. You'll be glad you did. I run shatter, angry magic and bloom. So much destruction.

Sunsinger is the master blaster, get used to fusion nades because they turn into the most damaging super in the game if all grenades connect, and you generate orbs even if you shoot enemies to kill them with sunsinger active. Scorch shield activates on contact and not just when killing an enemy, so it can be used to get out of sticky situations. When using glide only pick focus burst as it gives the most speed, I regularly beat out hunters when trying to get to the second chest in crotas end. It takes getting used to but glide is very versatile if you master it.
