Any advice on playing warlock?
Well my fellow guardians, it's time. I have mained a titan since beta. I grew three of them from nothing and like to think I titan pretty hard.
Over the past several weeks RNG has decided it wants me to make a warlock. I have obsidian mind, sun breakers, voidfang vestments, and legendary chest, helm, gauntlets, and boots.
No more excuses.
After I run the nightfall and weekly with one of my Titans tomorrow, I will say farewell to him and create a warlock.
Any advice about playstyle, builds, or general warlock badassery would be appreciated.
And remember, we are all in this together.

1 RespuestaIt really depends on the sort of armor you're wearing, what you're planning on doing and which exotic you choose to use. Sunsinger bread and butter build is Fireborn Radiance, Flame Shield Scorch (this is pretty much a must), Radiant Will, and Gift of the Sun. Grenades, Glide options and character attributes (i.e. Agility) are simply personal preference. I tend to use either Solar or Fusion Grenades and Focused Burst for Glide. Voidwalker can be more flexible than Sunsinger. Personally, I fluctuate between a Vortex Mastery Build (Axion Bolt/Vortex Grenade, Vortex Nova Bomb) and a Bloom Build (Scatter Grenade, Shatter). I tend to use Surge for extra speed, Annihilate for wider AoE and use the Blink jump unless a specific situation calls for Focused Burst. Few pointers: -Grenades are your friend. Never stop using grenades. If you don't have a grenade, get a grenade ASAP so you can use more grenades. -Nova Bomb the shit out of everything -Refrain from self-reviving until you're sure you can do so safely. -Kill every Hunter you meet in the Crucible. Dunno if there's anything else I missed, but that's about as much advice as I can give you that came off the top of my head, but feel free to ask any questions if there's still something you're not sure about.

3 RespuestasAny rashes contracted from plate metal gets worse when it comes into contact with the Hadronic Essence infused in our leather coats. Make sure you're clean before switching. You should be able to get treatment cream from Zavala, Shaxx, or even Saladin, if he's around. About 35 glimmer for a tube that'll last you a week.

1 Respuesta1: Voidwalkers are alright but you may want to start as a Sunsinger. VoidWalker=large nuke. Sunsinger= a more spread out nuke ( Damage Wise) Better for orbs. Any kill makes a orb. 2:Brace for the barely lifting jumps. 3:VoidWalker=Obsidian Mind. Sunsinger= Praxic Fire or Starfire. Or even Voidfangs. 4:Solar/vortex nades in my experience=garbage. Go for any other. 5: Flame Shield=OP 6: Dat range of melee doe 7:Bad Juju should be your main weapon. Either a cool guy always making orbs or just constantly dropping Nova Bombs. 8:Please for all things holy never use lance as a void walker. IT sucks so much. Can't even kill people in bubbles in PvP 9:Solar Wind is great for pushing teammates of edges. 10: Though self rez is good, i would totally use radiant skin as you take less damage.

Level up both subclasses early. Theyre both very useful. Voidwalker is a wrecking machine, but with Sunsinger, you can come back to life if you die, which is also really helpful

Class recommendation: bad juju+ obsidian mind equals nova bomb destruction. Don't play a warlock so can't really give to much more advice.

Don't hurt the titans too much. Hunters are your friends...

In fact i role with one account, which is my warlock. (the others are my siblings account). Now people always say Warlock for Fireborn. But trust me it don't do much in PvP and a ok amount in PvE. A Warlock can in fact survive a Golden bullet with, Radiant Skin (reduced damage) Fire shield (shield), this will make you survive a Golden bullet from the Gunslinger. [b]The only class that can survive one of those deadly bullets.[/b] Also it has the furthers range (melee) (besides throwing knife). Which is amazing, there's been plenty of clutch matches (especially in Rumble), where you can just win the game, because of that better melee. I personally prefer Sunsinger. But to be honest it depends on you're playstyle to be honest. I like Voidwalker but not enough to talk about it much. But i recommend the Sunsinger. Because as a sunsinger, you can go head-to-head vs a Blade-dancer. And if you have Radiant Skin (reduced damage) and fire shield ( shield) it can even survive a shock-wave from the first of havoc and nova bomb. But don't get too cocky.

Don't expect to do CE, not even on normal. People seem to have a raging hate-on for Warlocks. #stopthehate

1 RespuestaYou're going to nit pick the differences between the two at first. Give it time to get a good feeling for what the Warlock is capable of. Warlock has the best grenades of all 3 (to me at least), but Glide is slow & takes time to learn how to use properly. The Sunsinger class can be much more useful than some make it out to be so please don't be a Rez only kind of guy (or girl idk). Nova Bomb has to be fired in an arc to go long distance & your Warlock will jump before firing it, so don't do it in front of a door or some low hanging debris without caution. Also, Space Magic!

2 RespuestasFirst off, my main is a Titan and I've played one for most of the beta. But I also REALLY enjoy Warlocks. (more recently hunters but thats another story) [b]First[/b], fellow titan, don't feel like you should be a sunsinger just for the self-res. I prefer voidwalker and I just don't feel right using sunsinger. Try both, and use what you like. [b]Second[/b], The void grenade is a BEAST. (as is it's solar counterpart) [b]Third[/b], the jump takes a bit of getting used to. On my Titan I like to sprint, jump, wait a second, then use lift. If done right, you will hover above the ground at a relatively high speed for awhile. I find myself doing it on my 'lock all the time and I just fall down to the ground. Very annoying. [b]Lastly[/b] (and in my mind most important) Don't aim nova bomb EXACTLY in the middle, aim it just a tad off to the left. I can't tell you how many times I've super'd a wall. [b]Bonus:[/b] Try out using glide to get high above your enemies before you throw a grenade or a nova bomb. This gives you a huge tactical advantage and is also pretty fun. But don't get too used to it, because if you switch to blink, it will really mess you up.

1 RespuestaUse the focused burst perk for glide. Makes it the best jump in the game by far. Nothing even comes close.

I've had a warlock since launch. At one time I had three of em. Their grenades are best in game. The jump is slow and annoying. Experiment with nova bomb set ups, nova is very much mission dependent. Sunsinger is fun but do not sit on your super just so you always have a revive our it will be boring to you.

I recommend leveling up the sun slinger subclass to get the self revive. Crazy useful in the raids. Have fun!
