This is very true. The Hunter grenades and melee are already inferior to the other classes. I'd actually be very interested in an exotic piece that made throwing knives more appealing. Three wouldn't even be OP, they don't do very much damage. I really like the idea of explosion on a precision kill. They could also have a piece that decreases the cooldown time of the throw knife.
