why do people want crux of crota?

I got two crux of Crota drops today but only had one eidon ally to upgrade because I didn't max my other husk of the pit. But I gotta say I like the gun a lot. The cursed thrall explosion is awesome.

No idea. High rof, small mag and a mediocre roll. Outside of an arc burn nightfall, I'm not sure why anyone would want to clog up an exotic slot for such a subpar gun. Really disappointing. I have no interest.

Someone on my team last night got it and used it on the 2nd raid and it was weak as shit, glad I got the hand cannon and which completes all the raid weapons for crotas end except crux...
