How can the big bang be 13.8 billions years old if the earth is only 2015 years old?

Edit: Alright someone actually said that for some religions the earth is 5000 or even 7000 years old.. Please dont say stupid things like that, 5000 years is just too much for every planet-star out there.. I dont even think the Sun is that old.. Stop with these stupid answers..

Your question is based on the assumption that the earth must have been created at the same time the universe 'exploded into being', which is impossible because we wouldn't be here having this discussion if that were the case. Even if it was possible for us to exist 2015 years after the big bang, there is a possible world in which the earth wasn't created until billions of years afterwards. If the world we live in now exists, then it is possible for it to exist.
