Those who run sword
Are the best players in the raid.
Edit: I ran it with my hunter last night, could get 4 RT's in max, glitched a few times but was so satisfying when he finally went down!
Edit: How many people killed crota in 2 or less swords on normal? Y or N - 500+ replies, loving what people think, I'm not taking away from the fact you need a good team, crota on hard does filter out the good teams to the scrubs who relied on cheese.

I never get the chance to run the sword anymore :/ everyone just wants the hunters too.. So I made a hunter and it's taking forever to level up!! I love running the sword! I damn near killed him with my titan on day one of hard raid but some dip shit got blown up by a thrall and nobody shot the over soul and we died..

With hard only 3 hits per go are needed and that's easily do-able.... No point going greedy. My favourite part of being a swordbearer is seeing the inventive ways my teammates make orbs by the rock for me :')

Sometimes I feel like I can do better with the sword, than a 32 hunter. Im a thirty one warlock and have never found a team that can Beat crota.

I usually follow as my titan with a bubble, but I have up most respect to sword bearers. I've only grabbed the sword once or twice before and got wrecked each time since my timing was off by a hair. Every raid I play i try to make it a point that the sword runner calls all the shots and doesnt get shit from anyone if he screws up.

The timing is everything. I see many people getting greedy by attempting the fourth hit when Crota just started getting up. They die because of that. You have to keep an eye on his shield while you're up there and try to start hitting Crota right before he even goes down. If timed right then you should be done with your second hit right when Crota hits the ground with his knee. That's how you get four in on him. A failed attempt would lead you to hitting an immune on the fourth and possibly dying from not being invisible or away fast enough. It takes experience to adapt to many teams with different types of firepower each time. I have helped about 60 teams beat Crota as the swordbearer and about 8 of that being from hard mode. And all of that just from 2015. If you're on the Xbox One and need some help, feel free to add me and message me when I'm free. But most importantly keep an eye out on the forums for me. Biggest issue is my fireteam not doing dps on Crota or worst yet not killing the swordbearer and him running off. Fml, only downed him once thus far. Edit: am I the only sword carrier that kills the bearer more often than not?

4 RespuestasYeah usually the sword runner is the MVP and leader, but it takes a team to destroy Crota, the sword runner can't do it by himself!

1 RespuestaYou can do 4 but don't do a 15th hit unless you can guarantee you will get another 3 in before sword disappears. I was doing 6 a sword dropping him on the 3rd but now I think doing 8 with the first and no more than 6 with the 2nd sword gives you room for error later down the track and if you wipe you have only wasted maybe 3 mins instead of 10
