The only guns you can get close to earning are bounty exotics, vex mytho and nechrochasm

Those are not earned too. It's complete luck when and what exotic bounty is offered to you. It's complete luck if and when Vex and Crux will drop. Some people do VoG once and get the Vex and some people do it 20 times and still don't have it. Ironically the only thing you earn in the game is...... whatever you buy from Xur. You work for half an hour by doing the weekly and you're GUARANTEED a reward. You go and spend that reward on Xur and buy your items. It's no different than real life when you go to work (weekly strike), earn your money (strange coins) and buy an Icebreaker from Xur (car from an auto dealer).

I said close since you still require luck to recieve them but for vex and nechrochasm you have to do raid on hard, you earned it continuously doing the most difficult part of the game. For bounties they have some objectives till you recieve them all other guns you recieve randomly from almost anything you can do in the game
