Have you found yourself frustrated in the crucible? Do you wish you could compete at the highest level? Let me help you.
Several months ago, I released two "Pro Tips" videos for Destiny, and it received very positive feedback. With upcoming new playlists, such as inferno modes for PVP, more people will be involved in crucible than ever.
I'm a 2.5-3.0 K/D player that has played FPS games competitively since Halo 2 back in 2004. I say this not to boast but to only add credibility.
My hope is to now make weekly videos about PVP, beginning with Destiny and eventually adding tips for other franchises. However, my Destiny PVP tips translate to other games, such as Call of Duty.
Unlike other YouTubers, I believe the best way to improve your PVP experience is to improve your skill rather than what load out you choose to implement.
Here are my two original PVP Pro Tips:
Pro tips #1: http://youtu.be/YV92XUwFgck
Pro Tips #2: http://youtu.be/_P2qvvfz-es
While I plan to cover many topics, such as sniping and using cover effectively, I want to hear from you.
What are your frustrations in PVP?
What would you like to do better?
If you are a skilled player, what are your favorite tactics?

My frustrations with PVP I really only a certain set of players who have mastered a certain set of skills. Feel like I rarely lose one versus one encounters and generally my tactics seem to be fine. There are just a few players who will always beat me with blinking shotguns or long range sniper. The first stration is that I know where these players are and I tried to move away from them but it seems like there are just too many places on the map that someone can Sprint from and blink can kill.

My frustration is getting thrown into a game against a bunch of lag switching cheaters. It has gotten way worse the last month or two.

As far as my PvP experience goes, all is well. People saying that PvP is not balanced are just not dedicated enough to Destiny. Obviously, the weapons and gear used for PvE are not always the best for PvP (probably the main reason a lot of people suck at PvP). Secondly, once you figure out an "overpowered" player's trick you can always outplay him or her (because they are usually going to keep doing the same thing). Also, guys, my #1 tip for PvP is ---NO LAUNCHERS--- because the Machine Guns guarantee 5+ kills, granted you stay alive. My only frustration in PvP is playing in teams with a team that does not do any work (probably the second main reason people suck at PvP). Sorry for the lack of organization in my thoughts xD

1 RespuestaI've given up on PvP. The balance in this game is a nightmare. One game I'm at the top dominating and the next I'm at the bottom because of some jerk spamming some overpowered weapon. I don't like to be angry while playing and I've raged more in the past week then ever, I'm just gonna play every once in a while and stick to strikes. This multiplayer doesn't offer anything rewarding or competitive.

1 RespuestaI really only play in rumble and control and keep around a 1.7 kdr in those game types. I only play clash and skirmish for bounties so i dont play nearly as hard (i suck). But the best tip is to USE THE MINI MAP. Seriously, especially in rumble. Ive gotten so used to looking at the radar that i look at it 80 percent of the time while playing. It helps alot.

4 RespuestasMy biggest frustration ??? The fact that it takes 2 melees to kill and only one to BE killed . Every time I'm fastest to the punch but nobody dies after 1 hit. So sometimes before I get my 2nd off. They've got me and I'm dead. Bullshit

1 RespuestaPro tip #1 Always play hunter. Hunters supers almost guarantee 3+ kills per use. Their high mobility makes them excellent for getting around and scooping up more kills.

16 RespuestasI copied my post from another thread. I hope it will help you somehow. If u have any other questions just ask. http://destinytracker.com/destiny/crucible/ps/DeraIeS Hunter Bladedancer K/D 3.08 Weapons - Shadow Price, Found Verdict, Corrective Measure Exotic armor - Knucklehead radar Skillset: Arcbolt grenade Blink Vanish Backstab Path Forgotten - Thoughness and speed Quickdraw Way of the Fearless - Toughness at all cost Stalker I mainly play control, but I also play skirmish, salvage, and class if there is a bounty for it. Tips: Most important thing is to understand how your class works. I think that I mastered bladedancer in 100%. This class has pros and cons as every other class, but if you learn them you will benefit a lot. It is important to understand what you can do and what u cannot. I have chosen particular equipment and skill setup because they fit my playstyle. I always knew that bladedancer will be my main character, even before the game was released. In my opinion bladedancer is hardest character to learn and to play. I remember my first tries with blink when i unlocked it. I totally hated it as it was really hard to use it. I was not even able to jump into the window on Firebase Delphi from point C building and i got back to double jump few times. However, I still tried to learn to use blink as it was just cool. Now i am just glad that i did try as blink is the best jump in the game for pvp. It gives so much mobility that it's just incredible. I use it to get very fast to certain locations, backdoor opponents, or just escape from them. If i get into very bad situation like 1vsXXX opponents i can just blink away and hide or blink in and use arc blade. I started with blink as it is most important and most challenging part of bladedancer, but now grenades. On the start i thought that bladedancer has worst grenades in the game. First grenade which u have to stick to an enemy to kill and second which can only be used to block the pathway are not too impressive. In contrast to them arcbolt has awesome uses which i started to see after some time. It is the truth that it does not kill, but there is more to that. This is the best grenade because it instantly deals damage to all opponents in the very wide area. It is great to throw it on the point and then just finish all enemies off as they lost most of their hps. I decided to use Backstab perk for the blink strike, because in my opinion it is most useful in pvp. There is no sense in reducing its cooldown as it is already very low with a lot of strength and invisibility is not that useful in close range combat in pvp; i got an advantage from it only one time. That is a reason why i think that backstab is the best, one hit kill. I decides to go Armor - Agility - Recovery because recovery is totally useless in 1v1 combat. Hunter already has a lot of mobility, so armor is most important as you can take more damage. I chose quickdraw, because i did not need 3 sec longer invisibility, and did not need to run and slide faster because as i mentioned hunter already has a lot of mobility. Moreover, i prefer to use blink to get to enemies than just run on them. The last part of the skillset is arc blade. The reason why i have chosen invisibility over extended arc blade or heal after kill is pretty simple, because i benefits from it more often. I use arc blade around 2 times per match. I don't like to waste it on one person or use it as a panic button. Many people whine about that bladedancer is op because of arc blade, but for me the reason why bladedancer is special are blink and invisibility. I use it very often to challenge my opponents as it gives me an advantage as i am not fully visible and opponents are not sure if they really see me, found verdict <3 Moreover, it is good to become invincible when you are low on health and need to wait for ur hp to recover. And for the gameplay. Use the radar, it is your best friend. Try to predict where ur opponents can go or can be. Don't run mindlessly on the target. If u see few enemies and u don't have ways kill them try to lure them out and kill one by one or find another way and backdoor them. Use ur abilitiws wisely, don't just waste them. They give u a huge advantage over opponents. Use blink to move fast. Always use cover and get advantage from the location in which u are. Remember that if you crouch for some time u disappear from the radar for short time, it will confuse enemies. If enemy is just on ur head blink in the air or blink away so u have a chance to spot them and kill. Blink is also a great tool to dodge supers. And the last thing, arc blade can also be used as escape tool, it does not matter that u did not kill with it. U survived and you can help your team. I guess that's a pretty long explanation of my choices and playstyle. I hope that i helped. My best match ever. Great multikills and 3 supers dodged http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t0dmGNgWFg4 Short clip with very fast start on skirmish. I have taken a whole team down instantly. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=usVDeLQgGH4 Edit, Use hvy ammo, always. Edit 2, if u have any questions or comments just write ;) Edit 3, i decided to go for max armor because it affect combat most. Hunter already has a lot of mobility and recovery is used out of combat. Maybe it is only 1 bullet more which you can take, but it was too often the difference between life and death for me.

1 Respuesta
This is a quote from "The Ben obiwan", who posted this on a Bungie update 2015/01/22. So far it has 2600+ comments and bumps. At 2500 Bungie hid the post. To show support, and to show that we do want change, I move that everyone starts posting this to the forums, for as long as it takes them to listen. Fill the forums with nothing but these posts!! Force them to hear our voices, and to listen! Change starts with us! Keep this trending people! And make replicated posts! Spread the word of "The Ben obiwan!" Edit1: the original post is no longer hidden on the update page “The update we'll never get- "We listened to the masses, and are making some changes to the game. 5 million people bought the dlc, so we have plenty of funds to make this game fun again! We are doubling vault space, hell, lets triple it, what do we care? You can now trade your useless ascendant mats for other things, 10 to 1 for radiant mats, 1 to 1 for marks. Survival mode added. Its really fun, and you get more loot the longer you stay alive. Grimoire is accessible in game, so people actually read it. As you complete sections of the grimoire, cut scenes are unlocked, revealing story points, it was always there, we just forgot to put it in. You can now change your characters appearance once a week for 10,000 glimmer. We made some really fun bounties for you to try, because we are sick of the same crap since launch as well. You can now add modifiers to any mission, and complete it for rewards suitable to difficulty. Of course we don't want every single core player looking identical, the outfitter can help. You just need the armor that has the appearance you want and the armor that has the stats you want. Take it to the outfitter with a chunk of some materials or something and BLAM you have sweet, unique armor, it's so -blam!-ing simple, I can't believe we didn't have this in since release. Crota's End sparrow can do tricks. We agree, all those low impact auto rifles and pulse rifles are like shit on a dick. Nobody wants it, so we added some decent/balanced ones. We fixed all them annoying bugs, like the sword disappearing, heavy ammo synth not working, and the Templar random containment fields. Queens Wrath is coming this week. Turns out there is not a problem with YOUR network, it was OUR problem all along. lol. Oh, and 5 more strikes are available, just because we are rolling in cash, and we want to thank you, the customer, for being such a sport, and believing in us." But instead Bungie just carry on, completely oblivious to core problems in the game. Why do I look forward to reading this every week? This could get 1000 bumps, it won't make any difference. I don't think they even read the comments.
4 RespuestasI need some serious help Im very impatient For pvp i use striker w/ up for anything (ar), black hammer, any heavy I usually get 1+ kd every match But whenever i use defender in pvp i do really bad (with the same setup) Any help? Please and thank you

2 RespuestasOP, my biggest frustration in PVP: Hunter here. It feels like I get one-shotted by a variety of players and guns, yet I can't one-shot anyone (unless heavy ammo dropped and I fire Truth). When I throw grenades, rarely do they kill, even when my aim is spot on, but I get destroyed by those blasted magnetic grenades. My arc bolt chain grenades and homing grenades often don't get the job done. I see the players health drop then regen. Your thoughts?
