Yeah I hate the crucible loot system. But you technically earn a shot at something for example if you can't beat the VOG on hard you'll never have a chance at a VOG helmet or the vex. Same goes for the primaries in the CE hard mode if you can't beat it then you don't have a chance at it. Sure you can be carried through it but no one is going to carry someone who can't pull a little weight. Unlike the crucible you don't have to fire a shot to have a chance at it. I've said it before if you lose on crucible you should only get rare gear or lower stuff then on the winning team you should get a shit at exotics to rare gear from the top spot down the list where having a better k/d or a lot of points effects the chance of getting better gear. So say the person on top goes 20-10 and the guy on bottom goes 5-10 the guy on bottom has pretty much no shot of getting anything above rare gear not engram. where as the guy on top has a pretty good shot at a anything and nothing less than a rare decoherent engram.

For real. I don't even remember how I got half of the shit I have. It was all random. The only things I remember are the ones I purchased or grinded for. Finishing the Thorn bounty is the only great story I remember.
