I have been playing this game since September, on different accounts, but September nonetheless. What I have decided is that the loot system is messed up. This loot system is very badly programmed in my opinion. My dad is a senior quality assurance engineer with 30 years experience in silicon valley worked with Google, Amazon, and Apple and says it is really poorly made as far as programming and features.
One of the most annoying bugs is when Nightfall gives materials.
Bosses don't drop engrams, they drop glimmer items that majors and ultras drop.
Raid chests sometimes only give materials from every chest.
Sometimes players get 2 or the same gear in 1 roll.
Green engrams are dropping for players 25+ (dismantling them is a waste of time they only give 1 or 2 material)
Some players continue to receive the same rewards over and over
Story missions do not give any rewards after playing first time (exception of dailies)
Aetheon and Crota should not be dropping materials.
good PvP players often don't get rewarded or get under rewarded while AFK and bad K/D get exotics and legendary
not everyone in PvP gets something even though all of them played, people should get equal amount or rewards and be encouraged to practice and get better for higher chance of better rewards.
reward persistent PvP players for multiple games like a guaranteed Legendary engram after 10 games.
This is not funny, these are real game issues that make victories and opening chests unrewarding. Players only get a shot at this stuff only once every 7 days!!!! The loot pools are messed up and the code is badly written. The game should know what the player owns and try to give them something different. This is lazy coding that could be fixed in 2 weeks. The holiday gift was proof of an RNG that only drops legendary weapons from Vangaurd, a very specific roll that was coded. Fix these ugs so players can feel good when getting a mission done. Make less of th game pointless for people who liked story missions. Do something good for the game that everyone will be happy with. Everyone both PvP and PvE will like this. We are not asking for 100% chance of legendary or exotic RNG we want smarter RNG that will give us the rewards we deserve.

One would think after seeing and playing Diablo 2 & 3 and Borderlands the key to loot and masking grinding with fun was solved. I guess Bungie never heard or played those games. PvP is also puzzling since the omitted the fun cool stuff from Halo.

It may not be "balanced" because some people will have nice things that others don't (luck is a thing), but "random" is usually considered fair

RNG is crap in this game. I have played over 600 hours (25 days) and don't have VOC. Some people have three or four copies having played less thah one third my time and completions. Ridiculous.

1 RespuestaYeah, they've hinted at how they plan on vamping up the reward system later in the future. That being said, to use RNG to reward players is shameful. In no way at all does going "Try Hard" in Crucible / Raids / Strikes improve your chances of good loot. The upper echelon of Destiny see no reason to put full potential into the game - you're more than likely going to get rubbish items for anything you do. All in all, what I'm saying there is nothing to thrive for apart from having your name above everyone else's.
