Iron Banner 4.0
How do you feel about Iron Banner 4.0 coming out so soon, on Tuesday January 13th, 2015? Are you looking forward to it, or are you upset that there is another Crucible event so soon? Discuss below!
Personally, I am just going to do some IB for the 6 extra 5k bounties (30k per day) that will be available for 7 days, which sums up to 210k exp + match exp! I have no desire to hit level 5, and I will likely only do 3-5 of the bounties depending on how in the mood I am for PvP.
Edit 1: I was honestly hoping for Trials of Osiris, not Iron Banner. Anyone else disappointed about this? (On top of that, I was kind of hoping they would do a PvE thing because it's been so long)

Honestly, while I know I'll never use em, I want a full set of Iron Banner Gear. Just so I can get decked out every time it comes around. Same goes for weapons, I'm not really too fond of the IB weapons so far, but I'll grind to get em.

1 RespuestaI've never participated as I've never really been a big crucible player, but after finishing the Bad JuJu crucible portion in one sitting, I think I'm ready for this. Also, I was never around for Queens Wrath. (I think that's what it was called) How was it?

Stuff you get has no upgrade path. Stuff you get generally sucks. Stuff you get don't even scrap for shards/energies. Stuff you get costs a lot of glimmer you would have to farm. Bungie can suck it when it comes to convincing me to grind IB when I know they reset ranks and offer worthless "rewards". I would rather just play regular Crucible or even Iron Banner for just gameplay without a thought given to the retarded ranking/reward system. Edit: To those that have responded. I did get to Rank 5 with my Titan and then Rank 4 with my Warlock. I got Timur's Lash, Jolder's Hammer, Perun's Fire, and Gheleon's Demise. I have scrapped them all out of my inventory except kept one Jolder's Hammer. Sure they were good weapons, but a week after I got them they were left as 300 damage weapons soon to be replaced by 331 damage weapons and I don't have the inventory space to keep the 300 damage stuff I no longer use. The armor I had gotten from IB to get to 30 was left behind even faster than the weapons. I do know about IB and the re-rolls, and how they have no upgrade paths. I also know they reset the reputation ranks and make you re-grind. I also know that every single day they have the same exact bounties repeated, day after day after day... and then again on the next IB. So I stand by what I said.

I was hoping for the trials of osiris too, but I heard IB 4.0 will sell lvl32 gear and I always like to grab whatever weapons they sell.

None of the above really, but I will play it over Crucible for the time that it is out because the Exotic and Legendary drop rate is INSANE!!! I got Hard Light and Dragon's Breath from the last Iron Banner, and a legendary ship

During IB 3.0 Bungie reverted the model back to an analogue of what it was during the first go around. It seems the Dev's were only paying attention to discreet data when players wanted, "level 30" and didn't understand that players wanted a method of attaining the maximum light level through gear earned in the iron banner. That's what the people want, gear as good as raid gear through alternative means. Now that they have radiant shards it's even easier to ensure players both do the raid but still can earn armor outside it. Hopefully they allow lord salad fingers to sell max level gear like the iron banner 2.0 and was overwhelmingly appreciated by the community.

Don't care about IB. I'd only consider it if there were rewards worth a damn. Even then it would be a drag.

Iron banner always falls on a weak that I'm with my dad and when I'm over there my internet is trash till I'm back with my mother.. Which be the next Sunday.
