All Popular Cheese Will be Fixed on Tuesday!
Great news! Bungie has scheduled an update that will fix all popular Crota's End cheese, including the lantern launch, crossing the bridge with no bridge, warlock self-res/out of bounds enemy despawn, and quitting during the Crota fight to cause him to remain kneeling!
Also, [quote]The existing Pit treasure chest reward moved to killing Ir Yut, the Deathsinger. She has a chance to drop Exotic weapons and armor, class pieces, and Radiant materials.
The Pit treasure chest will now contain Radiant Materials. [/quote]
What that means is that people who can't beat the raid no longer have a chance for a free exotic in the first chest, as it is a Radiant Material chest [b]only[/b] now.
What is also means, is that the Deathsinger has value now! She can drop radiant materials, raid/exotic gear (not known which), class items, and even exotics!
How do you guys feel about these patches, especially the Deathsinger/1st chest patch?
Edit 1: as a side note, VoG will no longer be obsolete, as it will drops 331 exotics as of this coming patch!
Edit 2: as MakeMineMoxie has pointed out, Bungie says this patch could come "as early as this Tuesday", which leads to the disappointing possibility that it could come the Tuesday after this Tuesday.

Edit 4: it has been brought to my attention that many Guardians have secret cheese, so the title is being changed from "All Cheese Will be Fixed on Tuesday!", to "All Popular Cheese Will be Fixed on Tuesday!"

1 RespuestaThe more of these threads I see, and the more people discuss and try to guess at how they patched the raid, the more I have this sad feeling that the patching was half-assed and it won't take more than two days for people to figure out how to cheese it again... stop crushing my elusive high notion of Bungie's great competence, please...these damn duplicate threads are starting to irk me.

1 RespuestaI for one am extreme excited for all the changes. This raid is a very simple one without using any cheats and its embarassing how many people don't know how to do it at all. Am I saying I've never cheeses? Heck no. But I have also made sure I have beat it legit 5 times from start to finish so I wouldn't be a drag on others when the inevitable patches came. A scrub is someone who has never, not once, done it legit because they are too lazy or not skilled enough.

58 RespuestasI'm really disappointed with them removing the Lantern Launch and bridge. Only because it takes out my ability to get drops as I rarely have the time available to do the raid with a group. Those two cheeses allowed me to do it on my own and still required effort to achieve it. I had to place myself perfectly in a spot, avoid a knight, kill an ogre and still make it across the bridge. It was simply a shortcut. Like Batman using the Hand of Fate to beat the Riddler's maze in BTAS. The bridge still requires me to kill enemies and requires some time to complete. I hope I get one more week with this before they "fix" it. When you're married, work a full time job, and you know actually have a life outside of the game world, kind of hard to find the time to get a group, teach people the strategy, deal with countless wipes, and set aside hours to complete it.

So many don´t play Raids with those who are "weak" and aren´t equipped like they are.. I hope Bungie thinks about the Patch. They divide Non-Raiders from Raiders - people who have less time to play and those who are playing 18 hours a day (lucky ones who don´t have to work ;-) AND: Everyone should enjoy this game with all options to get good stuff, may take more time for them to get exotics, but please: Those commments I read before - those should leave this game - is a loss of players of Destiny - a loss of money for Bungie at last.

Nobody else should be able to find ways to get gear, they don't deserve it. Those with a life, a job, a family, and responsibilities other than to the game should just quit and get out of the way. All this innovation and thinking has to stop, you have to do it the way it was intended. Forget the bus, sell your car, walk! Forget the cell phone, yell! Get rid of that microwave oven, chop wood and cook over a fire. How dare you try to find more efficient easier ways to do things. All you players (except me) who used cheeses should delete your character and all your weapons and start over. This time do it the right way.

This should work because he would be the last alive and would be across the bridge, which should trigger the ogre spawn etc. After they spawn one lock could self rez and just do what people were doing before... Edit: by wipe I mean the people on the starting side all die, the guy on the other side has to stay alive until the minions spawn. After that someone can self-rez and revive the rest of the time who then just snipe everything. At least that makes sense to me... I personally have beat the bridge without cheese multiple times, I have cheesed it just for a faster clear also though when I am with a random group. Just this seems like it would work the same as the old cheese.

3 Respuestasno more stealthy hunter clears up to the shiekers for me but hey was cool while it lasted. I only got 1 piece of gear from doing it and all rest materials. Guess ill have to group up with folks now. If people didnt see this coming they kinda dumb hehe.

It is pretty easy my raid team got through it in about 2 hours or a little less the first day without any spoiler or youtube (because there weren't any up yet lol)

8 RespuestasOne cheese they can never fix.....the newest way to quickly beat the bridge.. Get the best player across legit. Party leaves...thus game shows 1 person made it across and begins the Ogre part. Everyone joins and watches the player take out the Ogres. Profit....You beat it without having to spend 45 minutes waiting for the stupid swordbearer to spawn. If they spawned one right after the other with virtually no wait time then this would not be an issue but sometimes you have to wait 10 minutes for him to spawn.....

13 RespuestasIt will be patched as "Early as Tuesday". They didn't specifically say the patch will happen on Tuesday. I can careless if they patch or not because I know this is a game and don't care how others play their game. People like you whom care about people cheesing need to do some soul searching and figure out what is truly important in life. In the end.....this is JUST A GAME.

I do not understand why Bungie even thought it was a good idea to put an exotic chest at the very start of a raid in the first place.
