Is Bungie's "stocking stuffer" the last straw for some Guardians?
Were you happy with your run of the mill legendary weapon? I'm sure most Xmas noobs certainly are! Or do you see this as a missed opportunity for Bungie? An opportunity that could've made the toxic forums explode in positivity instead of all this hatred going on? Let me know what you think. Discuss. Debate. Grow.
(I myself got a Badger CCL. 2 energy basically. I was expecting this but would've been happier with say; 10 heavy synth, a shader, emblem or class item. I still love this game, but think Bungie continues to shoot holes in a sinking ship for some)
Edit 1 (5:04 pm): Thanks for all the responses everyone! Its always interesting to see people from all different walks of life respond to these issues. First thing I've noticed; most Day One players were underwhelmed, indifferent, or think Bungie could have done a better job with the PR on this "freebie". Others are upset that Christmas noobs are getting handed a lot of things. Fair enough. Christmas noobs or even casual players have greatly enjoyed this gift! I'm happy for them as well. I've seen some better options for what could have been done. My favorite: a redeemable token to get any Vanguard or Crucible gun.

Shut up. I got coiled hiss, could care less about it, but it was free and welcomed. If you could use your gift, awesome. If your gift is a bit too bland for your inventory, dismantle it and thank them for the energies. Stop whining.

2 RespuestasIf you'd be levelled it, not putting in mats just fill the circles, you'd have gotten 5-7 energy and a telemetry. Not worth it to some but for me it's a good source of telemetries for weapons I actually want

2 RespuestasI was happy but i do agree with one post i saw, possibly it was better not to mention an xmas gift and just have it appear with a small message. I admit my hopes were up but im definitely not upset i got a free legendary fusion rifle thats pretty deadly.

2 RespuestasYeah it would have been cool if maybe they had designed an entirely new gun for this. Given all the teasing and tweeting, getting a gun I already had was a pretty big letdown. I also got ascendant energy from the nightfall and the same shotgun I got last week from Crota. I don't have time for a second character....so I guess it's just another "meh" for the collection.

Because some little kids didn't get what they wanted. Boo hoo. A legendary is used when an exotic isn't. And, judging by most complaints, you'll be using it in place of that exotic you wanted. It's enough that Bungie gave us a gift at all, let alone a legendary weapon. [/b]
