Thank You Bungie for the Gift
I have no idea what I got. I won't know until late tonight. But whatever it is, thank you. Now I know everyone was wanting a G-horn, Mythocast, Ice Breaker, or some other gun they are anally hurting over because they feel entitled because they did this, that, or the other. Thank you for not giving these out. Thank you for not caving in to the children. Thank you for allowing us to continue to pursue them. See I have none of those guns. And that's ok. Because when I get them I will feel a small measure of pride and excitement. Thank you for not taking that away.
Thank you for the changes you have made. Sure I may not like all of them but that's ok. As a human being I have the ability and maturity to stop playing when I decide I don't like it. I won't demand that you conform to my desires. I will simply trade it in and get something else. But the changes show you are trying. You can't please everyone. The whiners are the minority and you know that. I look forward to what you will do next for Destiny.
Edit: 987 comments and a ton of likes. Thank you for your positive, mostly, feedback. Regardless of what the gift was Bungie was the only developer out of any of my games to give away anything. No matter how you feel about them that does say something. Stay cool Bungie.
Edit: I am very happy to see this post as the #1 trending post. We need more positive posts leading the forums. I believe there are more happy Guardians than unhappy ones. Thank you all for your positive support.

I kind of wish it could have been something more unique like a candy stripe sparrow or a ship with a blinking red light on the front called Rudolph 1. Or I don't know maybe a ghost shader. notice how none of these are that hard to make or will effect balance of power at all but at the same time reward players that are playing at this time as future players will not be able to obtain till next year.

I happily received [i]Another NITC[/i] with the bonus damage to the last round, explosive ammo, and longer range when aiming down sites. It has a 20 round mag, which is darn good for a scout. The bonus damage to the last round is mixed bag but the longer range when aiming down sites is a bonus for a scout, because when using a scout rifle, I'm always aiming down sites to snipe mobs at range.

I am always happy to receive Legendary engrams and thought it was a nice gesture from Bungie. Also I got a fantastic roll on a Badger, firefly plus my choice of explosive rounds, high calibre rounds or armour piercing. I would have been happy with firefly so the extra bullet options make it quite formidable once I get it to 331. Thanks again Bungie

Yup. Ditto. I got a legendary sniper I've never heard of. Will be fun levelling it up and seeing what it can do. Worst case, it's some asc mats - which is fine by me :)

I received SOS auto rifle. While I won't use it since my characters use exotic primaries, I damn sure will use (and greatly appreciate) those Ascendant Energies! Thanks Bungie!

I too am greatfull as i got a leg. hand cannon which i was going to buy anyway lol although i would of prefered an xmas event... maybe some kick ass boss with a santa hat n a bag full of engrams! But i did hear we was getting a ghost shell or sparrow... which are pointless cosmetic things imo. So yer cheers bungie your heading in the right direction! Well spoken compared to most. This usually the majority doesn't speak up and only the minority posts. But looking by a lot of stat polls it seems like you speak for the majority. It seems that most people don't seem to comment other than the complainers.

I got the secret handshake. And was very glad that it wasn't some new exotic that everyone would have. The exclusivity of the g-horn or icebreaker is valuable because each item you earn tells a story. I remember beating aethon on hard and getting my 1st vex, and how I was 1 of 2 guardians left standing to take him down after our #3 and #4 were killed by a supplicant as we came out of Venus. I'll never the nightfall when I got icebreaker. I'll never forget the massive amounts of people I had to kill to get super good advice I hope bungie doesn't hand these out! Keep them exclusive and let the whiners whine! Great post!

I got a pulse rifle. Although I won't use it because I don't like them, I am grateful that they gave us anything. Thats 2 energies that I did not have before that will go into a weapon in a future expansion. They are moving towards the right direction with some of their moves. At least they listen some, some developers don't listen at all.
