I have no idea what I got. I won't know until late tonight. But whatever it is, thank you. Now I know everyone was wanting a G-horn, Mythocast, Ice Breaker, or some other gun they are anally hurting over because they feel entitled because they did this, that, or the other. Thank you for not giving these out. Thank you for not caving in to the children. Thank you for allowing us to continue to pursue them. See I have none of those guns. And that's ok. Because when I get them I will feel a small measure of pride and excitement. Thank you for not taking that away.
Thank you for the changes you have made. Sure I may not like all of them but that's ok. As a human being I have the ability and maturity to stop playing when I decide I don't like it. I won't demand that you conform to my desires. I will simply trade it in and get something else. But the changes show you are trying. You can't please everyone. The whiners are the minority and you know that. I look forward to what you will do next for Destiny.
Edit: 987 comments and a ton of likes. Thank you for your positive, mostly, feedback. Regardless of what the gift was Bungie was the only developer out of any of my games to give away anything. No matter how you feel about them that does say something. Stay cool Bungie.
Edit: I am very happy to see this post as the #1 trending post. We need more positive posts leading the forums. I believe there are more happy Guardians than unhappy ones. Thank you all for your positive support.

I actually did like the gift, cause even though I got a scout rifle with terrible rolls on it, I needed the energy from it :)

2 RespuestasI received the "Another NITC" Scout rifle. It was funny as if Bungie knew what to give me because I was looking for a viable replacement for my primary VOC. So I'll try it out and see if its a good option, if not my brother can use it as we share the same PSN account. I saved my vanguard marks for something else. Thank you!

12 RespuestasEditado por versusx: 1/8/2015 11:55:12 AMYou all know this was a marketing strategy. How long did it take you to reach lvl 20 as a noob ... about a week +/- Now, image yourself as a Xmas noob, psn down 3 days, so say 2 weeks to lvl 20 from Xmas (1/7/15). If youre a destiny vet you either appreciate or dont the gift. But imagine if your a fresh noob lvl 20, you have maybe 1-2 legendary weapons and now a "new" one how happy you are. Go back when getting a legendary engram made you exited, don't worry I'll wait ,.............................................................. This was a marketing strategy to get noobs excited and into destiny. This is not a hate or complaint msg, I just saw what bungie did.

1 RespuestaEditado por AlasknThundrWolf: 1/8/2015 4:17:11 AM*slowclap* for the real MVP ItsJustCJ. Spoken like a man, and a true Destiny enthusiast! I agree, that giving us something that we all want to work hard and eventually receive would have been a bigger disappointment than the wonderful stocking stuffer I will breakdown, because I absolutely hate pulse rifles. But that's okay, I appreciate the gesture by bungee. I too would have been deeply disappointed if I got an exotic weapon I had been grinding for, and working for, to let all the work go to waist, my sense of accomplishment gone, because it was just handed to me. Too many people in this game expect things to be handed to them. You gotta work hard for the good things, and people don't see that. A purple is the next best thing to an exotic, so people should stop whining and just break it down for energy and parts, or save it for a secondary tertiary character.

Honestly, with what they gave us on Halloween, you'd expect the gift to be of equivalent value or maybe even better due to the fact that "Oh! It's a new year! Thank you everyone who helped make it an amazing year!" Most players got a legendary weapon that they probably had or had something better than it. I'm not trying to hate or anything, just kind of pointing something out where on Halloween, Bungie just wished us a happy Halloween and that was it and we got a Tumbler and Jack-O-Lantern heads. They made a big deal to the year ending and it appears to be just a legendary weapon.

I got secret handshake. And then finished my invective bounty later that day. Lol. Oh well. Still trying to get ahold of a legendary heavy...

I got the same gun I already had. -_- Unlucky mate.

Thank you, Bungie! Got me a Coiled Hiss 1919, gonna have my lvl24 max it and then use it on my new Hunter! Now where did i put my ammo, gosh darn it!?
-
Yes thank you Destiny. To the haters, they didn't have to give us Schmitt for the holidays but they did. A new ghost skin or festive shader would have been cool, but I am thankful for what I got.

Good post!!!!

I got a purple fusion rifle, which sucks compared to the one I already have. Aw well.

That was beautiful...

Thanks Bungie for making a game I have been able to put 350 and counting hours into. Every time I start to feel butthurt over my lack of a mythoclast I just try and remember the last game that kept me interested for 350 hours and I feel better. So thanks Bungie.

Thank you, Bungie

Won't know what my gift is until Friday evening, but thanks Bungie! Here's to many more Destiny Christmas's!
