So, based on the first dlc which let's face it doesn't have the depth of content most people were expecting. The second dlc looks like it'll be pretty much the same. Is anyone planning on buying the second expansion pass for another two lacklustre pieces of dlc?
Must admit, I mistakenly thought the expansion pass covered all of the dlc's which I thought was good value for money. But £35 for what looks like suspiciously cut content and minimal additional content (especially on xbox) is a bit much. Based on what I've seen so far Destiny is shaping up to be the new COD cash cow. Well played Activision, bad move Bungie.
I think it would also help if Bungie started communicating their plans with greater transparency to better manage expectations. So far it's been very shoddy, with Deej taking the brunt of the frustration. It's a bit like the plot of the game, it's incomplete and vague.
What's your thoughts?
Edit: btw I will probably get all of the content available as I'm still having fun playing the game but that doesn't mean I have to like the cash cow method. I am genuinely interested in what people think.
Edit 2: Ladies & gentlemen, thank you for the constructive contributions. It seems the majority, as long they're having fun will be buying future dlc and a lot of people are hyped about the Comet:Destiny 1.5 release. I just hope that Bungie improve communication with the playerbase so we know what to expect.
I've also come to the conclusion that the cost of the dlc is basically another form of monthly subscription (£9/10 a month) and I'm ok with this as I'm still enjoying the game. I can see why they didn't go down the monthly subs route and it also adds light as to why people who didn't buy the dlc can't play the weekly & nightfall every week.
You've also all helped changed my perception of the community from toxic trolls to bunch of decent folk. Thank you for that. If anyone is on xbx1 feel free to add me. I play mostly strikes, most of the time. I'm alright on pvp too.

7 RespuestasBecause of the mates I've earned.... $20 for 3 months, worth it! Now we are expecting Halo 5 :)
-
3 RespuestasI will be buying it because since Destiny came out this is all i play and its the best game out right now. Nothing is beating it. I know it got terrible reviews but come on whats really beating it? Call of duty is old news, right along with Halo. They were the most hyped up games. A lot of people were saying once COD and Halo drop Destiny is done. Nah, Destiny is still here, right along with thousands of people still playing it. All the other games that recently released also, they got boring real quick.

Fool me once…

1 RespuestaIve already got it, and will be buying anything else released for this game. Cut content or not, its still one of the best games ive ever played. Ive more than gotten my moneys worth of entertainment out of it.

4 RespuestasEditado por AstriaPorta: 1/6/2015 12:30:28 PMYeah I'll be buying every DLC, Comet expansion and subsequent sequels until the franchise is finished. EDIT: The only thing that bugs me about the DLC price for us British folk is the fact the exchange rate hasn't been taken into account. DLC should be about £13.99 not £20.

2 RespuestasAlready have the season pass with the special edition, and I would've bought it either way. I'm still hooked on the game.
-
2 RespuestasTL;DR but yes I already paid a whopping 17.50 for it. I had to sell 2 false teeth for them. Fortunately they weren't mine.
-
1 Respuestayou can't spend 100.00 in a year's time anywhere else on earth and have this much entertainment...
-
I'm done after HoW. Moving onto other games.

5 RespuestasSmart consumers don't buy season passes until they know for sure exactly what kind and how much content will be added to the vanilla game. If you buy a season pass or fully pre order a game before the game even comes out, you are a tool.
-
It will be done,!
-
Already have it, and looking forward to playing it as well as drinking the tears of the people who will then have multiple nightfall strikes in a rolling time period that they won't be able to play.
-
i would. i don't mind even if it is 20-50 bucks. it's not even more than a hour and 1/2 of work pay.
-
I love this game and have already bought it...
-
4 RespuestasWell considering its a ransom most of us have no choice, pay up for another DLC or get locked out of the stuff we are playing right now.
-
Mine came in the Limited Edition, I will probably buy the next DLC.
-
2 RespuestasI bought the Expansion Pass so I will be getting the next one. However I will be buying the Destiny: Comet Expansion. Even at a rumored $60.
-
Yep I like the game and can afford it so fuccck it . If you like something you'll pay for it, good money tactic
-
I already purchased the pass so im stuck seeing what comes anyways. Unless some new environments and enemy's start appears im pretty sure Bungie's destiny developer team must consist of 1 man ( Deej) and the rest must be working on destiny 2 its not that hard to develop new chars or guns or even Armour for that matter( all the working mechanics are already there). making new environments to explorer is the hard part and based on the lack of recent content im hoping some new planets might be coming eventually with new darkness enemy's ( not in the house of wolves)
-
I probably will
-
If I'm still playing this game at that point, sure.
-
5 RespuestasAlready bought it, looking forward to it

5 RespuestasTrust me Comet dlc won't be "free" it will be 50$ (40gbp) roughly, that rumor is utter bullshit.

I'd like to hope I will play but the question is... Who will still be playing in September anyway? There isn't enough content in TDB to keep me going till HoW, let alone to the one after. Most likely I will quit after Wolves and come back to the forums to read reviews of future content. I will not preorder.
