So, based on the first dlc which let's face it doesn't have the depth of content most people were expecting. The second dlc looks like it'll be pretty much the same. Is anyone planning on buying the second expansion pass for another two lacklustre pieces of dlc?
Must admit, I mistakenly thought the expansion pass covered all of the dlc's which I thought was good value for money. But £35 for what looks like suspiciously cut content and minimal additional content (especially on xbox) is a bit much. Based on what I've seen so far Destiny is shaping up to be the new COD cash cow. Well played Activision, bad move Bungie.
I think it would also help if Bungie started communicating their plans with greater transparency to better manage expectations. So far it's been very shoddy, with Deej taking the brunt of the frustration. It's a bit like the plot of the game, it's incomplete and vague.
What's your thoughts?
Edit: btw I will probably get all of the content available as I'm still having fun playing the game but that doesn't mean I have to like the cash cow method. I am genuinely interested in what people think.
Edit 2: Ladies & gentlemen, thank you for the constructive contributions. It seems the majority, as long they're having fun will be buying future dlc and a lot of people are hyped about the Comet:Destiny 1.5 release. I just hope that Bungie improve communication with the playerbase so we know what to expect.
I've also come to the conclusion that the cost of the dlc is basically another form of monthly subscription (£9/10 a month) and I'm ok with this as I'm still enjoying the game. I can see why they didn't go down the monthly subs route and it also adds light as to why people who didn't buy the dlc can't play the weekly & nightfall every week.
You've also all helped changed my perception of the community from toxic trolls to bunch of decent folk. Thank you for that. If anyone is on xbx1 feel free to add me. I play mostly strikes, most of the time. I'm alright on pvp too.

Not unless they offer a substantial increase in content. TDB, far from substantial

i will, i have a job so some $50 (or whatever number) won't leave me starving, plus i really like the game (although i am really hoping it will improve as it grows older)

11 RespuestasUndoubtedly buying the next season pass and all the next ones to come. This is suppose to be a mmo. Do you realize most good mmos require a monthly payment ? For the SAME content. And then release expansions on top of that. So he'll yea if all I have to do is pay for the expansions I'm in.

I'm going to get it. The Dark Below and House of Wolves were already made. They're just finishing them up and polishing them. I'd expect to the later ones to answer some question. The Comet is basically going to another Destiny. I could ramble on for awhile. But to answer your question, most likely.

I agree with most of what you said, except that the DLC content was leaked and confirmed months before it came out. So, I wasn't expecting more than 3 story missions 2 strikes and a raid. That said the raid was shorter and easier than I had hoped and I hope the future dlc will offer more substantial raids. I was also hoping that the quests would have added more to the story then they did. I think that if the quests added more of the Grimoire lore they could have plugged some of the existing plot holes. Need more story and longer harder raids with more bosses. But I will continue to buy dlc in hopes that this game expands and gets better

I never buy expansion passes. I'd rather spend a little extra in the long run for the option of dropping out of the game the moment I become tired of it.

2 more raids??? I'm in

already did lol but, but comet must be good ir they want me to stay.

Editado por MoonScentedHunter: 1/7/2015 5:13:57 AMI will. I just hope they stop with the whole grinding cause that's what makes the game boring.

Yep getting it
-
I'll give it a buy. Especially if that comet dlc that was leaked is real.
-
I'm all in

Probably. Despite lackluster reviews and a lot of negative criticism, I still find that, at it's core, destiny is simply fun, and that's the goal. I've spent 350$ or so on a single game with free updates and no incentive to purchase anything, I'm fine with paying for content that's actually going to matter.

huh? Wait a minute... i thought I already bought a season pass??? WTF!?!?! #sarcasm
-
I'd buy it because I love this game
-
If there's another season pass I'll buy it, otherwise I'll buy the DLC's separately.
-
I did before destiny was released, I do not regret it. :)
-
I'm buying it. I enjoy the story. And it's a fun ass game
-
I already bought the Season pass, I can't wait for HoW and Comet. TDB was amazing, super happy with the direction destiny is going.
-
I'll buy all future DLC for this game.
