Thorn is Broken.
This weapon is extremely overpowered in conparison to other primary weapons. At first I thought to myself "It's not OP I bet the person is just really good with it." Now that I have the weapon I know for sure thats it's extremely overpowered. Thorn can kill in two headshots and one body shot and that's not even factoring in its burn damage. Anyone denying this weapon is overpowered is simply pampered by the weapons power and have grown to rely on it far too much. The Thorn is the only weapon I struggle against (that is, until I equip my Thorn) but the solution to one weapon shouldn't be the same weapon. Of course many of you will bombard this thread with a volley of insults but that is to be expected. For those of you with reason, I'm pretty sure you agree and want nothing more but to see more balance in the Crucible. Please don't bring "Thorn isn't even that OP compared to Vex or Suros" here because the topic at hand here is the Thorn.

4 RespuestasI think SUROS, Vex, Monte Carlo, Hard Light, Thorn, TLW, Hawkmoon, Bad Juju, No Land Beyond, Unviversal Remote, MIDA, Icebreaker, P+T, Invective, 4th Horseman, PI, PC, etc etc should be nerfed

8 RespuestasI'm an avid Thorn user and got wrecked multiple games in a row by a skilled player using TLW. There's a counter to everything. The skill of the player is what determines the weapon's effectiveness. Not the other way around.

6 RespuestasI'm sorry I cannot reply to the mass amount of hate. I have kept up with the few of you but it's now clear: The players who have grown to depend on this weapon as a crutch will defend it to the death. Oh the butthurt we'll see if Bungie has its next field day on the Thorn.

Yes it is strong. But COME ON!! The bounty to get it was so grueling and tedious. Why shouldn't we get a beast of a gun as a reward for going through all of that crap? It's not like Xur sells the gun or it drops randomly. If you earned the gun then you deserve the power it gives you.

The chance hand cannon can kill in one headshot two bodyshots . it's not that op compared to other hand cannons and it's pretty hard to get.

8 RespuestasThorn has always been this strong since day 1. There are two reasons you are seeing more of it these days. 1. More people have had time to complete the bounty 2. All the people that kept it stored in the Vault are finally bringing it back out now that Bungie made it easier to use. Thorn has essentially become the SUROS of hand cannons, as there are no real drawbacks to the weapon now. Previously, it took some skill and planning to do well with Thorn. You only had 6 rounds to work with, and if you got caught in the middle of a reload, you were as good as dead. Having a pair of hand cannon reloader gauntlets was a MUST. Being aware of your enemies and your surrounding cover was a MUST. You couldn't just send volleys down range, you had to aim carefully to ensure every last bullet was delivering it's full potential. There were entire clans dedicated to mastering Thorn in the Crucible. Now it's just another no-skill Exotic.

Oh and fusion rifles its damage at mid range should not one shot nerf its damage at range a little bit

Agreed thorns a bit op along with lmgs if your gonna make a two shot gun like lmgs then at least decrease its ammo reserve for PvP can't count how many times I got dropped by lmgs when I had the clear advantage

Not really. Throw stickey's, use shot guns, snipers, fusion rifle, last word, suros, vex, blink. Any of the above works if your still having problems git gud

IMO, the solution isn't to nerf the few OHK weapons, but to make MORE of them one hit kills.

Dude I hate these post first the thing was underpowered and people were bitching to buff it then it is overpowered and people want it nerfed by all -blam!-ing means the thing is deffinetly broken as you describe it if you are a good crucible player you can get kills stuff like nerf this nerf that can really stop a games progress, just let it go

Hawkmoon Oneshots, Shotguns, and Fusion too. Timurs lash, tlw, thorn 2-3 shots. Where is the Problem?

I've never one shot someone with a body shot using the Thorn. It's a three shot at close to midrange and a four to five shot at long range. With headshots, it's a two to three shot depending on the range. You'll never one shot another guardian with that hand cannon under normal circumstances. You're going to need numbers and data to prove that the Thorn is overpowered when compared to other legendary/exotic primaries. The Hawkmoon is capable of one shotting with a headshot and two shotting with a body shot. The Thorn is not capable of these feats.

All exotic hcs are 2 headshots except last word. You saying this shows me you dnt use hcs.
