There's a downside to being level 31. I call 'em vultures.
So I'm a level 31 Hunter. Nothing too special I just got the new Vanguard gear and Young Ahamkara Spines (Those gauntlets look amazing!) Right now I'm leveling my upgraded exotics. So that means bounties and lots of em!
But I've encountered a problem. Nearly EVERY time I go to cash in for my sweet sweet XP guess what happens.
Some random group of guardians goes "HEY LOOK A LEVEL 31 I'M ABSOLUTELY SURE HE WANTS TO DO THE RAID OR HELP ME DO WHATEVER I TELL HIM TO IN A VERY RUDE TONE OF VOICE LETS SPAM HIM WITH INVITES UNTIL HE LEAVES AND CALL HIM NAMES IF HE DOESN'T JOIN UP!"
I don't. Please go away. I once got six different invites in the 30 seconds it took to walk to Xander 99-40
I honestly don't care all to much about grinding my butt off to gain one level. I can do everything in the game just fine. Plus the RNG hates me so I don't get armor anyways so I don't need radiant stuff.
It doesn't bug me all too much. I understand that's a good way to get a group together. I kinda feel bad ignoring them, but I just wanna do my own thing ya know? I'm just wondering if I'm the only one. Anyone else in my boat?
Edit 1: Wow. More responses than I expected. This is actually my best thread. Glad I aint the only one. Anyways a little about me I don't have any real drive to get to level 32 because I'm not a big fan of the CE raid gear and it's more work than I' care to do. Also I'm not against helping people who are struggling, I often do. But not people who are rude or spam.

Le level 23 saw me in Patrol while I was testing out my new P&T and decided to invite me to a party. Being the nice person that I am, I accepted. All he wanted to know was how to get Legendaries/Exotics. I told him about Exotic Bounties. He also mentioned that the Overcharge bounty is too complicated for him, so I don't see him getting past his first Exotic Bounty, lol.

Shit, my titan and warlock ( deleted it for 2nd titan, need the helmet) are 32 I just don't use helm of Saint 14 or I get flooded with invites. Last week I decided to get on in the morning, so I started up my 360, put destiny in and as i was loading in to the tower I went to go make coffee, maybe 10 minutes later I get back and I have 29 messages WTF?!?!? that was the moment I decided I don't want to be 32 just yet lol.

One time I was in an earth patrol to kill those hive majors near spawn for the bounty. When I ran back up the stairs for the second time, this level two invited my to a party. I decided to join (I didnt know the level at the time). He then commanded me to help him level since I already had legendary gear. I shot him with a gjallarhorn and left the game.

I have someone who I've never played with add me as a friend and every week he spams me with invites to the nightfall. Last week he sent me a message as well and I politely responded saying I was sorry but I'm going to be doing it with the people I regularly play with. I thought he would have took the hint but no, he replies saying he'll invite me to Crota later, and it goes without saying he did just that, several times. I didn't join. I wonder if it'll go a similar way today.

Thats the advantage of being lvl 32 with all raid gear. People are too scared to invite.

I get a few invites but not loads. But like you not that bothered over getting 32 as I quite enjoy just doing bounties and Roc strikes etc. Besides I am in a clan that raids regularly so I am sure that if I really had a strong desire to raid I could find a spot.

3 RespuestasUntil they give a REAL incentive to hit the lvl caps, I'll happily accept sticking to my Vangaurd armor throughout the DLC's. The only thing I even want from the raid is Blackhammer. I got Hunger of Crota and it's amazing as well. But not even worried about getting armor drops.

My only request when sending random invites. Please say why in the message! Raid? Nightfall? Daily? Don't random message without at least that. I will gladly help where and when I can. Level 31 on Titan/Warlock/Hunter. Have all raid weapons blah blah blah. But please explain what you need in the 1st invite. No creepers either lol.
