So I'm a level 31 Hunter. Nothing too special I just got the new Vanguard gear and Young Ahamkara Spines (Those gauntlets look amazing!) Right now I'm leveling my upgraded exotics. So that means bounties and lots of em!
But I've encountered a problem. Nearly EVERY time I go to cash in for my sweet sweet XP guess what happens.
Some random group of guardians goes "HEY LOOK A LEVEL 31 I'M ABSOLUTELY SURE HE WANTS TO DO THE RAID OR HELP ME DO WHATEVER I TELL HIM TO IN A VERY RUDE TONE OF VOICE LETS SPAM HIM WITH INVITES UNTIL HE LEAVES AND CALL HIM NAMES IF HE DOESN'T JOIN UP!"
I don't. Please go away. I once got six different invites in the 30 seconds it took to walk to Xander 99-40
I honestly don't care all to much about grinding my butt off to gain one level. I can do everything in the game just fine. Plus the RNG hates me so I don't get armor anyways so I don't need radiant stuff.
It doesn't bug me all too much. I understand that's a good way to get a group together. I kinda feel bad ignoring them, but I just wanna do my own thing ya know? I'm just wondering if I'm the only one. Anyone else in my boat?
Edit 1: Wow. More responses than I expected. This is actually my best thread. Glad I aint the only one. Anyways a little about me I don't have any real drive to get to level 32 because I'm not a big fan of the CE raid gear and it's more work than I' care to do. Also I'm not against helping people who are struggling, I often do. But not people who are rude or spam.

As someone who is one raid away from 32, I feel like I should be afraid.
-
I usually politely send a message that I cannot participate because I am about to leave the game. I have never received any impolite response to that. The minute I go to orbit, I am confident that I am completely forgotten...
-
I don't mind it. It's more materials to breakdown and a way to get something you still need.
-
I swear there are people who religiously look at the roster and send invites to me as soon as im going down to the tower. I usually get at least 1 every other trip down and usually im still in the loading screen going down
-
I love that especially on here you say need 1 for hard raid and they comment back its like dude message me on xbox
-
2 RespuestasSome people lack social skills...and that's they only way they know how to try to get a raid group together.
-
Think it's bad now? Get to level 32..
-
I have been a level 32 hunter for a week now and honestly have not really been spammed at all. Kind of weird if you ask me, I mean here and there sure, but not like one would expect. Sometimes I will even be in the tower for half an hour and not one message/invite
-
2 RespuestasI'm ok with helping the lower level players too, except when they're rude, just like you. I'm not picky with the people I play with, but if you show disrespect in any form on my fireteam, I'll kick ya to the curb. I don't und getting the invites to play. If I'm not doing anything else I usually except it. The ones I really hate are the friend requests to play. I have to get to know someone first before I become friends with them.

what console?
-
I rarely get random invites in the tower, even if I run around in my lvl 32 undies. I just ignore any game/party invites, but I'll reply to a text message stating what people are looking for help with.

1 RespuestaI actually bought my main a full set of white armor for when I'm gonna be in the tower for a while don't feel like being bugged. At the very least, is it so hard to send an actual message instead of a blank invite? I might actually help someone if they message, but always ignore empty invites.
-
1 message asking if you wanted to do it would be more acceptable but spamming invites is just annoying, I've had it we've probably all had it I accepted one once and surely enough it was vog I was less lvls than them but did my part learning what to do and following what they did it was my first time obv but got half way through it then I had to go so left them to it

Editado por ryanhatfield: 1/6/2015 3:39:21 PMI have never needed help with anything in Destiny that didn't already have matchmaking (strikes) or wasn't more easily accomplished on the recruitment section of the forum (raids).

19 RespuestasBack on the first week the game came out, I hit 27 instantly. Imagine how that went while everyone was still 22-23. Then the VoG opened up. Guess what? Only 29 around. Being one of those people who never says no, I did VoG at least 12 times a DAY. Crota. I'm still level 31. No one but the kinderguardians want to play with me. Yet to beat Crota. I'll be here a while now.

I agree, the new CE raid gear is underwhelming to say the least, especially for Warlock and Titan. Ugh!
-
I throw on a green helmet whenever I'm in the tower. From 31 to 27 aww yeah
-
Not even 32s get 6 invitations a minute. You're not special. You never felt the glory if being the only level 30 in the tower in VoG days.
-
Yea I rock a set of white gear at the tower most of the time. But lately I haven't just because my gear looks to awesome to hide...
-
Just keep a low level in the tower
-
My favorite is when I get invites before the Tower even loads on my screen.
-
1 RespuestaWhy would someone want a 31 when they can have a superior player both mentally and physically at 32
-
5 RespuestasDo people really care if someone is 31? It's really easily attainable, not special at all really.
-
2 RespuestasYou weren't a 30 pre dlc where you?

I used to get a lot of random invites going to the tower when I was on XB360. Since switching to XB1, I never get them anymore.
