There's a downside to being level 31. I call 'em vultures.
So I'm a level 31 Hunter. Nothing too special I just got the new Vanguard gear and Young Ahamkara Spines (Those gauntlets look amazing!) Right now I'm leveling my upgraded exotics. So that means bounties and lots of em!
But I've encountered a problem. Nearly EVERY time I go to cash in for my sweet sweet XP guess what happens.
Some random group of guardians goes "HEY LOOK A LEVEL 31 I'M ABSOLUTELY SURE HE WANTS TO DO THE RAID OR HELP ME DO WHATEVER I TELL HIM TO IN A VERY RUDE TONE OF VOICE LETS SPAM HIM WITH INVITES UNTIL HE LEAVES AND CALL HIM NAMES IF HE DOESN'T JOIN UP!"
I don't. Please go away. I once got six different invites in the 30 seconds it took to walk to Xander 99-40
I honestly don't care all to much about grinding my butt off to gain one level. I can do everything in the game just fine. Plus the RNG hates me so I don't get armor anyways so I don't need radiant stuff.
It doesn't bug me all too much. I understand that's a good way to get a group together. I kinda feel bad ignoring them, but I just wanna do my own thing ya know? I'm just wondering if I'm the only one. Anyone else in my boat?
Edit 1: Wow. More responses than I expected. This is actually my best thread. Glad I aint the only one. Anyways a little about me I don't have any real drive to get to level 32 because I'm not a big fan of the CE raid gear and it's more work than I' care to do. Also I'm not against helping people who are struggling, I often do. But not people who are rude or spam.

I believe there's a way to disable the ability for players to interact. Maybe that would help.

Happened to me last night. The player continued sending me invites even after I had signed back on to watch Netflix. Absolutely aggravating.

Lol imagine how i feel at 32 Every one hits 31 but only people with dlc have a chance at 32 so the spamming is non stop lol

And I only say you must be on xbox because guys I know with xbox (and internet communities I'm a part of) always say a-hole kids and mid age guys are derps on there. I have an xbox one but I don't play multiplayer on there as I play them on ps4

If there is no message, I ignore them. If there is a message, I'll reply. Usually they have terrible timing for inviting me though...

I haven't really had this problem as a level 31 Titan. No one has sent me an invitation like they have you. That's just me hope people leave u along thought.

You'll be surprised at this raid tho. It's easier to get gear unlike Vault of Gaytheon. But I'm lvl 32 and never get inv from Randy's in the tower. Maybe it's because I'm at max idk tho

I've been ahead in levels basically since week 1. I've been 32 for the past couple weeks as well. All I have to say is that there have been very few days that I've played this game with out getting invites while I'm in the tower.

I too get these invites. I'm flattered but also antisocial most days (funny in a multiplayer-only game, right?) so I just don't want to be bothered. It isn't the invites that bother me...it's the mean messages when I don't reply/accept. When I want to find a group to raid/nightfall/weekly with I will go to LFG or wait for my clanmates.

Wait until you get a 32. I was changing guns and was in the tower for 2 mins max, when 4 different people asked me "can you cheese raid for me" or "can you do nightfall?".

Haven't really had too much of a problem with that, a few times I've joined other people on nightfall that only had two people and saw me near the start

I have found that keeping the chroma/stratus/(whatever the titan helmet is) white helmet in my inventory act to equip when in the tower can act very well as a sort of camoflage.

1 RespuestaI keep random level 29 or lower armor just for heading in the tower... I switch it just before doin bounty turn-ins & then back... This way the "lobby" never really shows you as a 31 & you get less spamming dorks. Just sayin

That happened to me last night with my hunter. Went to put guns in the vault and before I could get to the vault I had 2 invites.

lol, I feel your pain, however, it's even worse at max level. Being lvl 30 before the DLC was a nightmare and now lvl 32 is just as bad! When I go to the Tower I'm in and out as quickly as possible but I always get at least 1 or 2 invites on Mondays right before reset and Tuesdays after the reset is the worst!

you should have beat crota week 1, I could not wear that emblem without being flooded with invites
